Kelly Osbourne claims dad Ozzy's Parkinson's Disease diagnosis has

TV personality Kelly Osbourne and her brother Jack Osbourne are opening up about their dad Ozzy Osbourne's ongoing health battles. Recently, the legendary rock star revealed he's been dealing with a "mild" form of Parkinson’s disease. Let’s dive into what they’ve shared and how the family is handling this challenging chapter together.

Life with Parkinson’s: Kelly’s Perspective

During a heartfelt interview with Robin Roberts, Kelly, now 35, opened up alongside her brother Jack, 34, and parents Ozzy, 73, and Sharon Osbourne. Kelly described the unpredictable nature of her dad’s condition, saying, “It’s really strange how it works. Some days, I walk into the house, and I think, ‘There’s absolutely nothing wrong with him.’ You know, you feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, he’s going to be great. We’re going to leave for tour next month.’”

But then, she added, “The next day, nothing has changed, except all of a sudden, he can’t feel his arm, or he can’t get off the couch. It’s such a rollercoaster.”

    Role Reversal: Supporting Dad

“The hardest part is watching someone you love suffer,” Kelly admitted, noting that the family dynamic has shifted dramatically. “It’s kind of a role reversal now, where we have to be like, ‘Come on, snap out of it.’ We need to acknowledge what’s happening so we can move forward together. It took a while for all of us to get on the same page, but we’re there now.”

Since learning about her dad’s diagnosis, Kelly has thrown herself into making life easier for Ozzy. “I know that going to the studio makes him happy,” she explained. “So, I made sure to get him up, get him to the studio, and that’s all I did. From there, it was all him.”

Family Strength in Times of Challenge

Taking care of Ozzy has brought Kelly and Jack closer together as siblings and reminded them of the importance of family. “We’ve all learned so much about each other all over again,” Kelly said. “It’s about how much we love each other and how strong we are.” Ozzy agreed, expressing gratitude for his family’s unwavering support.

  • However, not being able to contribute to his family as he once did has been tough on the "Crazy Train" singer. “Coming from my working-class background, I hate letting people down. I hate not doing my job,” Ozzy confessed. “When I see my wife go to work and my kids go to work, everyone’s out there touring — it gets me down because I can’t contribute like I used to.”

Despite these struggles, Ozzy is determined to improve. “I’m a lot better now than I was last February. I was in a really bad place,” he admitted. Thanks to his commitment to his health, the family is hopeful for a brighter future.

“This time last year, we didn’t know if Dad was ever going to walk again,” Kelly recalled. “But thankfully, he’s taking his health seriously and doing everything he can to get better.”
