But behind the scenes, things weren’t as picture-perfect as they seemed on TV. In December 2016, the couple made the tough decision to part ways after seven years of marriage.
The couple issued a joint statement to Us Weekly shortly after their separation, saying, “Together, we have decided to separate while we reevaluate the future of our marriage. During this process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”

Tarek officially filed for divorce in January 2017, and by the end of 2018, their marriage was officially over. But here’s the kicker—they decided to keep the show running. Why? Because, as Tarek put it during a December 2018 interview with Christina on Today, “It’s part of who we are and what we do, and for us to just throw everything away, it just wasn’t worth it.”
And just days after Christina sat down with Tarek for her first TV interview post-divorce, she remarried, tying the knot with British TV personality Ant Anstead. They welcomed a son, Hudson, in September 2019. However, like all things in life, this chapter also came to an end when they split in September 2020, with their divorce finalized in June 2021.
Do Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall Still Work Together?
For over a decade, Tarek and Christina’s partnership on Flip or Flop was a staple of HGTV programming. But in March 2022, they announced the series would be coming to an end after 10 successful seasons.
Tarek took to Instagram to thank fans for their unwavering support, saying, “You guys have been with us through it all—you watched me beat cancer, you’ve watched the babies grow up into the most amazing little humans, and everything in between. But I’m not going anywhere, and I can promise that you are going to love what comes next!”
Since then, both exes have moved on to exciting new ventures. Tarek married his second wife, Heather Rae Young, in October 2021, and they welcomed their first child together, son Tristan, in February 2023. The couple now stars in their own HGTV series, The Flipping El Moussas, which premiered in March 2023.
