    Dylan's Journey on 'Blue Bloods'

Dylan's character, Mayor Peter Chase, was a beloved part of "Blue Bloods" from season 10 through its final season, season 14. In the series finale, Peter was tragically shot by a gang member during a ceremony unveiling a historic landmark in New York City. Tom Selleck's character, Frank Reagan, visited Peter in the hospital, where Peter handed over the responsibility of dismantling the gang to Frank. "I’m handing you the keys. You’re driving. Get us out of this," Peter urged Frank from his hospital bed, his arm in a sling.

While the Reagan crew successfully took down the gang leaders, there was a heartbreaking loss during the series' final episode. Officer Luis Badillo was killed in the line of duty while responding to a carjacking. Peter attended Badillo's funeral with the rest of the Reagans and the NYPD, but he was notably absent from the final Reagan family dinner.
