Jenna previously shared her excitement when Cora was born, writing, “Today is the day I got to meet my most beautiful, precious, feisty, niece (a bit earlier than we expected!)”
She continued, “I witnessed in awe as my dearest, toughest @barbara.p.bush became a mama. And today is the day I fell in love! Some cousins are anxiously waiting to play with you, but not just yet love. Xx auntie j.” It’s clear that Jenna cherishes every moment with her expanding family.

Jenna’s Growing Family and Her Role as an Aunt
Jenna shares her own children, Mila, Poppy, and Hal, with her husband, Henry Hager. Just recently, Hal celebrated his fifth birthday, and Jenna marked the occasion by sharing a delightful collection of photos on Instagram. Family has always been the cornerstone of Jenna and Barbara’s lives. Jenna has expressed how meaningful it was to become an aunt for the first time.
“There’s something almost primal about it,” Jenna explained during an episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna after Cora’s birth. “My sister and I are inseparable; we’ve done everything together. The one thing she hadn’t done yet was have a baby, and so I got to meet that precious little girl yesterday.”
Barbara’s Journey into Motherhood
While Barbara has kept much of her pregnancy journey private, Jenna did reveal to Today viewers in May that she hosted a baby shower for her sister. However, Jenna chose to keep the details of the event under wraps, respecting her sister’s privacy.

Jenna and Barbara are the daughters of former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush. The proud grandparents frequently express their love for spending time with their grandchildren. After Cora’s birth, Laura, 77, couldn’t help but gush about the newest addition to the family.
“It was really special,” Laura shared on Today in October 2021, noting that Cora’s middle name is a nod to George, 78. “Cora Georgia. So, she’ll have to be his favorite.”
Grandma Laura also shared that she was reading Cora the book On the Night You Were Born. “She was, of course, very fascinated with it,” Laura said with a smile. “I don’t know if she opened her eyes—she’s just a little, tiny, premature baby, but she’s doing wonderfully.”
