During Carrie’s Cry Pretty tour in October 2019, she decided to bring Mike, Isaiah, and Jacob along for the experience. Instead of viewing touring as a tough part of her job, Carrie saw it as a chance to turn it into a family vacation. A source told Life & Style magazine that Mike, who usually isn’t a fan of being on the road, loved the idea. “Mike loves being outdoors, fishing, and hunting, so they recently went to Wyoming for a long weekend and had a fantastic time,” the insider shared. Between Carrie’s 60 shows, the couple made sure to take their kids on little trips all over the country, making memories along the way.

Navigating Life Amidst the Pandemic

Nowadays, Carrie and Mike are spending most of their time at home in Nashville due to the coronavirus pandemic. But a source exclusively told Closer Weekly that they’re “making the best” of the situation. “Carrie loves juggling the kids, the home, and music, but she hates change and not having control of situations. This virus is very scary for her, she’s worried and taking precautions,” the source explained. “Mike, on the other hand, thinks it will blow over, so he’s busy trying to calm her fears.”

Even with the uncertainty, Carrie remains optimistic about getting back on stage. “Carrie is all set for her tour dates in June, if they still happen, but postponing Stagecoach in April because of coronavirus really was upsetting,” the insider added. “She’s trying to see it as a blessing. She knows that she and Mike are blessed, so they’re trying to help others as best they can.”
