Ben Stiller's Happy Comeback: Professionally And Personally

Christine Taylor Reveals Why She and Ben Stiller Separated | Us Weekly

Hey there, friends. Let's talk about Ben Stiller. The guy who brought us laughs in Zoolander and heart in Tropic Thunder is doing pretty great these days. Professionally, he's got the Emmy-winning series Severance back for a second season on Apple TV+. And personally? He and his wife, actress Christine Taylor, have reignited their marriage after some time apart. "I’m so grateful for it," Ben, 59, says in a heartfelt moment. "You know, not many couples reunite after separating. When you do, there's this incredible appreciation for what you have. You realize how much you could lose, and that makes everything so much more meaningful."

Ben and Christine's love story started way back in 1999. She auditioned for a TV series Ben was directing that, unfortunately, didn't get picked up. But that didn't matter because something far more important happened—they fell for each other. "We were both rebounding from other relationships," Ben recalls with a chuckle. "We went on a date, and it just clicked." Things moved quickly, maybe too quickly. "We knew each other for only six months, got engaged, married within a year, and had our daughter Ella the next year," Christine shares. By the time they worked together on Zoolander 2 in 2016, Ben admits things weren't great. "There was a lot going on in my life, and it affected our marriage," he confesses.

How Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor Rebuilt Their Love

In May 2017, Ben and Christine announced their separation after 17 years of marriage. But here's the thing—they never stopped being a family. "We always stayed a family unit," Christine explains. When the pandemic hit, she invited Ben to move back in with her and the kids. "It was almost a year of living under the same roof before we really came back together," Ben says. The pandemic gave them the time and space to work through their issues. "We were always connected," Ben reflects. "In my mind, I never stopped wanting us to be together."

For many couples, separation can feel like the end of the road. But Ben and Christine proved that love can evolve and grow stronger with time and effort. "When you separate, you realize how much you miss the little things—the laughter, the support, the partnership," Christine adds. "Coming back together was like finding a treasure we didn't want to lose." Their journey is a testament to the power of communication, patience, and understanding in relationships.
