Longtime TV personalities Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are packing up and moving Live With Kelly and Mark to a brand-new studio. But as they prepare for this exciting chapter, the married duo has decided to bring along a few cherished mementos from their old stomping ground. Here's a closer look at what they're taking with them and why these items hold special meaning.

A Sentimental Journey: What's Coming to the New Studio?

In a delightful TikTok video shared by People on April 2, fans got an exclusive peek at what Kelly and Mark plan to bring to their new digs. Both hosts, who are 54 years old, took a moment to highlight the items they couldn’t leave behind.

Mark’s Choice: Sammy the Golden Retriever Statue

Mark wasted no time in pointing out his prized pick—a large golden retriever statue named Sammy. "I've had my eyes on him since day one," Mark said with a smile. Sammy, it turns out, has been a studio fixture since 1997. That’s right—this furry statue has been around just as long as their son, Michael, who is now 27. "And they both look really good for their age," Kelly quipped, adding a touch of humor to the sentimental moment.

Not to be outdone, Kelly revealed her choice—a prestigious Disney Legend award. "The reason I'm bringing this with me downtown is because that building is so sparkly and Disneyfied, I feel like this is on brand," Kelly explained. She went on to say that the new studio's glitz and glamour make it the perfect spot for her accolade. "I feel like it's a good use of this," she added.

But that’s not the only reason Kelly decided to bring the award along. "Also, I feel like in my house, it feels very showy, and I don't want to show off my accolades," she admitted. "Plus, I know one of my kids will pinch this. So it's going in a safe place in a sparkling new studio." Clearly, Kelly values both the award's significance and its safety.

A New Home in the Heart of Disney

The show's new studio is nestled within the Walt Disney Company’s gleaming new headquarters in New York City. It’s a fitting location for the dynamic duo, considering their deep ties to the Disney family.

Saying goodbye to their old Upper West Side studio was an emotional experience for Kelly and Mark during the April 1 episode of their show. The couple, who share three children—Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22—have countless cherished memories tied to the old space.

A Family Affair: Growing Up on the Set

"Our kids grew up here," Mark told People in an interview published on April 1. "They'd come visit mom here a lot—they were always backstage, even when they were babies." Kelly echoed these sentiments, reflecting on the unique opportunity she had to balance motherhood and her career. "You have to remember, I had my kids back in a time when maternity leave was not really a thing; we didn’t really know how to navigate that," she said.

But thanks to the flexibility of her job, Kelly was able to bring her children to work with her every day until they started school. "They would go to All My Children with me, they would come here with me… we mean it when we say they grew up in this building, in these four walls," she reminisced fondly.

A Legacy of Love and Laughter

Kelly’s journey with Live began in 2001 when she joined as a cohost. Mark officially joined her in 2023 after Ryan Seacrest announced he was stepping down. Together, they’ve created a legacy of love, laughter, and connection that fans will continue to enjoy as they settle into their new studio.

Kelly’s ability to balance her demanding career with motherhood is something she doesn’t take lightly. "But the good news is you could bring your kids to work with you," she said. "And because they’re very mindful of our hours here—as it is a live morning television show—I was able to be a full-time working woman and a full-time mother simultaneously, which is a very rare thing and not something I take for granted at all."
