Comedian Rob Schneider's Thriving Career
Comedian Rob Schneider is living proof that age is just a number. At 60, he’s as busy as ever, juggling multiple projects that keep his fans entertained and engaged. From starring in four movies—including one where he had to brush up on his Spanish—to hitting the road for his comedy tour and even penning a book, Schneider’s schedule is nothing short of impressive.
“I’m incredibly thankful for how busy I am at this stage in my life,” Schneider exclusively shared with Closer. “I just performed at the stunning M Resort in Las Vegas, and it was absolutely fantastic. Vegas is a city where the entertainment scene is thriving. You’ve got legends like Rod Stewart performing, the mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil shows, and even Jay Leno gracing the stage. Selling out shows in this environment is a major accomplishment, and I’m proud to say I did just that.”
Embracing Life's Fragility
As Schneider reflects on his journey, he’s become more aware of life’s fleeting nature. Recently turning 60, he’s adopted a philosophy that encourages living each day to the fullest. “Everything we do is temporary. That’s why it’s so important to find joy in what you do every single day and stick with it,” he said thoughtfully.

Collaborating with Adam Sandler
Despite his hectic schedule, Schneider finds time to collaborate with his long-time friend and comedy partner, Adam Sandler. The duo has been entertaining audiences for over three decades, and their chemistry remains as strong as ever. “Performing with Adam is always a blast! He’s truly a one-of-a-kind talent and an even better guy. Over the years, we’ve worked together on countless movies, TV shows, and standup routines. Performing in front of thousands of people in a stadium is an entirely different experience. It’s exhilarating to see multiple generations of fans enjoying our work. The parents who grew up watching our movies now bring their kids to our shows. It’s a beautiful thing!”
Filming Movies with Their Children
Both Schneider and Sandler have recently worked alongside their kids, creating cherished memories on set. Sandler starred in Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bar Mitzvah alongside his daughters, Sunny and Sadie. Meanwhile, Schneider’s Amazon Prime movie, Daddy Daughter Trip, features his 10-year-old daughter, Miranda, and is set to release on December 5th.

Schneider was thrilled to witness his daughter, Miranda, take her first steps into acting. “This was Miranda’s very first acting gig! She was eager to be a part of it, and by the time we started filming, she was old enough to carry the lead role. She’s naturally gifted, and it was such a heartwarming experience. I’m confident this will be a cherished memory for her as she grows up.”
However, Schneider is cautious about pushing Miranda into a full-fledged Hollywood career. “I think the pressure on child actors is immense. Dealing with rejection at such a young age can be tough. Miranda knew she’d be in this movie, which was wonderful. But I wouldn’t want her to audition for something and not get it, leaving her feeling like she’s lacking in some way. This industry can be brutal.”
Collaborating with Hollywood Legends
John Cleese, the iconic member of Monty Python, joins Schneider in Daddy Daughter Trip, along with Jackie Sandler, Adam Sandler’s wife, who also appeared in The Wrong Missy and Bar Mitzvah. Schneider also lent his voice to Netflix’s animated film Leo, where Adam Sandler voices a turtle in a first-grade classroom.
“I find voice acting intriguing. They give you an idea of what your character looks like, but you have to imagine the rest. It’s similar to acting, though you’re usually alone. There’s more detailed direction, but I prefer live-action films. They’re far more enjoyable.”

A Unique Challenge: Filming in Spanish
One of Schneider’s most unique experiences came with Amor es Amor, a Paramount Plus movie where he had to learn a new language. “This was my first film in Spanish! It’s about a ‘90s soap opera star who’s gay, gets into an accident, and forgets he’s gay. It’s a wild, zany comedy written by my wife. We had such a blast filming it, and I truly relished the entire process.”
