"I’ve done films set in winter, like Trading Places and Coming to America, but this is the first time I’ve done a straight-out Christmas film. It was fun stepping into this world."
Teamwork Makes the Holiday Dream Work
In Candy Cane Lane, Eddie stars alongside the talented Tracee Ellis Ross. The two first crossed paths when Tracee was just a little girl at one of her mom Diana Ross's parties. "I remember meeting her when she was running around as a child," Eddie reminisced. "Now she’s grown into this amazing actress and person."
In the film, Eddie and Tracee play a married couple, Chris and Carol, who must work together to break a magical spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life. "Working with Eddie was a dream," Tracee said. "He’s not only hilarious but incredibly generous as an actor. He’s a true film buff and a lovely person to work with. You don’t often find someone who’s so naturally funny yet so collaborative."
