Anderson here. Let me tell you a story about Tori Spelling. The iconic star of Beverly Hills, 90210 recently opened up about the challenges her daughter Stella has faced at school. It all started when the family was photographed enjoying time in an RV. Can you imagine the pressure of being a kid in the spotlight like that?
In the debut episode of her podcast, "Misspelling," Tori shared how her daughter feels about the public attention. "My daughter is like, 'People already talk about us at school. They know you and they know the family and they read the press,'" Tori revealed on March 31. It’s tough being a kid in Hollywood, where every move seems to make headlines.
Tori went on to explain a painful moment Stella experienced. "She had someone come up to her at school and ask, 'Are you in the school district, or where does your RV park? Because you live in an RV with your mom, right?'" Tori, 50, shared, adding that a classmate even asked Stella if she was "homeless." Can you imagine how hard that must have been for her?

Stella's Resilience
Stella didn’t back down. She explained to her classmates that the family rented the RV for a summer vacation last year and drove up the coast to camp. Despite her explanation, Tori couldn’t help but feel heartbroken. "She was shamed," Tori added. The California native had previously shared photos of her kids in the RV on Instagram in August 2023, captioning the post, “As long as we have each other.” It’s clear that family is everything to Tori.
A New Chapter
During the same podcast episode, Tori shared some personal news with her listeners. She revealed that she "just filed for divorce" from Dean McDermott after their split in June 2023. Over the course of their 18-year marriage, the couple welcomed five children: Liam, 17, Stella, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7. Dean, 57, also has a son named Jack from his first marriage to Mary Jo Eustace.
Tori cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from Dean, according to divorce documents obtained by In Touch on March 29. She also requested sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their children. It’s a big decision, and one that clearly wasn’t made lightly.
The mother of five also shared how her kids are coping since the split last year. "Stella was always the one, since she was 4 years old, if she would hear us argue — back then it wasn’t loud and we tried to keep it separate and it wasn’t bad back then — she would hysterically start crying and she would run in and she’d say … 'Are you going to get a divorce?' And it just hit me hard," Tori reflected.
Dean's New Relationship
Meanwhile, Dean is dating Lily Calo, a senior account executive at Conscious Community Global. The couple was first spotted together holding hands during a stroll in Los Angeles in October 2023. Dean credits Lily for supporting him during his sobriety journey. "She’s a great support for me … we check in with each other every day and keep each other accountable," Dean told Page Six in an interview published on March 13. "She just really is a great — great help to me."
