Alright, folks, let's talk about Savannah Guthrie. The woman who lights up our mornings with her energy and charm is back on the set of Today. After what has been an action-packed couple of weeks promoting her latest book, Mostly What God Does, Savannah returned to the show with her usual flair and professionalism. The book tour had her jet-setting across the country, sharing her stories and insights, but now she's back where we all love her most—right there on our screens.
Back in the Saddle: Savannah Guthrie's Return to 'Today'
On Monday, March 4, Savannah, 52, retook her seat beside the equally charismatic Hoda Kotb on Today. Together, they dived straight into their regular format, diving into the latest headlines and welcoming guests with their signature warmth. Savannah's return was a much-anticipated event for fans, especially after her absence on March 1. But this wasn't the first time Savannah had been off the show recently. She also missed the morning broadcasts on February 16 and February 19, leaving her co-hosts to carry the show in her absence.
A Moment of Drama: Savannah's Encounter with Kelly Rowland
Now, here's where things got a little interesting. On February 15, Savannah interviewed the talented Kelly Rowland. After a lively conversation, Kelly unexpectedly walked off the set. She was supposed to co-host later that day, which left the production team scrambling. Into the breach stepped Rita Ora, who stepped in as a last-minute guest co-host. There were whispers backstage about Kelly's dissatisfaction with the dressing rooms and some of Savannah's questions during the interview, but we'll probably never know the full story.

From Faith to Fraud: The Journey of 'Mostly What God Does'
On February 20, Savannah's heartfelt book Mostly What God Does hit the shelves. This wasn't just another book for Savannah; it was a deeply personal journey, a collection of essays that explored her relationship with faith throughout her life. The book was showcased in multiple segments on Today, with Savannah and her colleagues discussing its themes and messages.
In an interview with USA Today, Savannah opened up about the book's origins. "This book is a series of reflections about faith, and it comes straight from the heart," she said. "It's incredibly vulnerable and personal because, in many ways, it's the book that I needed to read. We all need reminders that God loves us, is on our side, and has an eternal promise to be present in our lives. It's not a promise that everything will go our way or on our timing, but simply that God is here for us, standing by us every step of the way."

A Cautionary Tale: Beware of Book Scams
Unfortunately, not everything about the book's release went smoothly. Savannah recently had to issue a warning to her Instagram followers about online scams involving her book. People were selling counterfeit workbooks with her name on them, which is not only frustrating but also alarming.
She took to Instagram with a public service announcement, writing, "PSA — so many fakes out there! I didn’t write anything other than the book Mostly What God Does — no workbooks, no studies, no nothing!" Savannah's mom, Nancy Guthrie, was the first to spot the counterfeit copies and alerted her daughter. "I couldn’t believe it. My mom sent it to me, and it says it’s a ‘workbook,’ and it’s even yellow like the color of the [real] book. But I didn’t write any workbooks, so don’t buy them!" Savannah told Page Six.
