Throughout her career, Deborah has had the chance to witness history unfold firsthand. Deborah’s mother passed away when she was only 20, leaving her with a strong sense of self-reliance from a young age. “My mom told me, ‘It doesn’t matter what you choose to do, but I want you to work for a living so you’ll never have to depend on a man for survival,’” she recalls. This lesson has stayed with her throughout her life. “My husband and I didn’t grow up with trust funds. We’ve earned everything we have. We’ve made sure to pass this mindset on to our kids. We told them, ‘We’ll support your education, but after that, it’s up to you.’”
With Inside Edition reaching over 5 million viewers daily, Deborah’s job demands a lot of her time and energy. But she’s found her own way to unwind. “There’s something deeply satisfying about organizing my closet,” she admits. “It’s my personal white whale. I’ve been chasing this dream of a perfectly organized space for years. Even though it feels like an impossible task sometimes, it brings me joy. It’s my little escape.”
