Doesn’t make any sense,” Len told TV Insider back in November 2024. “We’re still, I think, the best-watched show on Friday nights, even though we’re canceled.”

Will a Character Be Saying Their Final Goodbye?
Photos released ahead of the finale show the Reagan family attending a funeral for a member of the NYPD. This has sparked a lot of speculation among fans about which character might be exiting the show. Several cast members have confirmed that their last day on set was at a cemetery, adding fuel to the fire.
Len Cariou shared his thoughts on the final scene, saying, “The last scene, of course, was at a funeral, and so we weren’t even in the house the day that we wrapped it up. I was finished that day myself and several of the others, Tom [Selleck]’s group of guys, Bridget [Moynahan] and Steve [Schirripa], and the others, they were done that day, too, before the rest of the episode was finished.”
Len also reflected on saying goodbye to the show, noting, “So it was kind of strange in that sense, just like any other day, any other week. And we had just kind of gotten used to the fact that we had said our goodbyes, if you will, with not a lot of emotional times together. So we said, OK, that’s over and done with, and we’ll stay in touch if we can.”
