Hey there, friends! Let’s talk about something exciting that’s been buzzing in Hollywood lately. It’s been an impressive 30 years since Kirstie Alley and John Travolta dazzled us with their chemistry in the iconic film Look Who's Talking. And guess what? Kirstie is more than ready to bring this beloved franchise back to life. How cool is that?

A Nostalgic Return to the Screen

During her appearance on The Talk on February 12, 2020, the vibrant Kirstie Alley, now 69, was asked by cohost Sheryl Underwood if she’s been in touch with John Travolta, who’s 65, about making another sequel. Kirstie’s response was nothing short of hilarious and heartfelt. She explained, “John and I, we both really want to do it because we think it’s funny that we’re the grandparents now.” Can you imagine? These two iconic actors stepping into the role of grandparents—it’s a story waiting to happen!

A Touch of Humor and Reality

Kirstie continued with her signature wit, joking, “Our kids will be ugly so that we’ll still be the stars, but the grandkids can be really cute.” But as she laughed it off, she added a touch of reality, saying, “But we don’t know what’s happening. We heard a rumor they were doing it, but I don’t know if it’s with us or without us.” Kirstie playfully suggested, “So, if you want to write cards and letters? Does anyone do that anymore?” It’s clear that Kirstie isn’t the only one who has opened up about making another movie. John Travolta has also expressed his excitement about revisiting the Look Who’s Talking universe.

John Travolta's Take on the Sequel

John Travolta, a father of three, expressed his thoughts during the premiere of his film The Fanatic at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on August 22, 2019. He admitted, “It’s been 30 years, but it was this morning that I even learned it’s been 30 years. I didn’t know that.” He then shared, “I would do anything with Kirstie. So let’s see what happens.” It’s no secret that John and Kirstie share a bond that goes beyond the screen. They’ve touched on this connection in the past, and it’s evident in their work and personal lives.

In fact, Kirstie once revealed on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother in 2018, “I think I kissed Travolta. I almost ran off and married John. I did love him, I still love him.” She went on to say, “If I hadn’t been married, I would’ve gone and married him and I would’ve been in an airplane because he has his own plane.” Their relationship is a testament to the lasting friendships that can form on set.
