Hey there, friends! Let me tell you about a truly sweet moment in the life of Candace Cameron-Bure. After spending some time apart from her 18-year-old son, Maksim, she finally got to reunite with him on Sunday, February 16. Can you imagine how thrilled she must have been? That's the kind of heartfelt reunion that makes you smile.
As a proud mom of three, Candace couldn't help but share the joy with her followers. She posted a heartwarming picture on Instagram of them hugging next to Maksim's hockey gear and captioned it, “Mama love ❤️ #hockeymom.” It’s moments like these that remind us how important family bonds are, isn’t it?
Now, here's the thing: Maksim shuttles between Southern California and Washington to play for the Everett Jr. Silvertips. That means he doesn't get to hang out at home with Candace as much as he'd like. But hey, Candace totally gets it. She understands her son's passion for hockey, just like his dad, Valeri Bure, who played in the NHL. Talk about following in some pretty big skates!

Maksim, being the grounded kid that he is, once opened up about his upbringing. He said, “To be honest, obviously I’m privileged to have parents like I do, but I don’t view my parents as famous, they’re just my parents.” And that’s so refreshing, isn’t it? But yeah, having a dad who played in the NHL does come with its perks. “I’ve learned everything from him, but he definitely focused on footwork and taught me it’s crucial to how you play. If you look at players like Connor McDavid or any All-Star, they all have the best footwork,” Maksim shared with the Herald Net. That’s some serious hockey wisdom right there.
A Birthday to Remember
Back in January 2020, Candace marked Maksim’s birthday in a big way by giving him a shout-out on Instagram. “My baby isn’t a baby anymore. Happy 18th birthday to my son @maksim.bure, the boy who’s known for his smile 😃,” the 43-year-old wrote. Can you picture her beaming with pride?

In her post, Candace added, “Maks, you came into this world super chill and always happy and you’re still the same today.” She went on to praise her son for being a joy to be around and a bright spirit to everyone he meets. “You brighten up everyone’s day (except Natasha [Bure]’s at times 😜), you are a joy to be around and bright spirit to everyone you encounter. You are a young man who loves God, who loves people, are smart, loving, kind, sooooo sweet, super funny and really really fun,” she wrote. How can you not adore that?
Supportive Parents
Maksim’s got some amazing parents in Candace and Valeri. They’re always there for him, cheering him on no matter what. Whether it’s hockey or just life in general, their support is unwavering. That’s the kind of parental love that makes all the difference. Maksim is truly lucky to have them by his side, and we can’t wait to see where his journey takes him next!
