Grab those tissues, folks! Marie Osmond experienced the surprise of a lifetime when her children and grandchildren made a rare video appearance on 'The Talk' to celebrate Mother's Day. The beloved TV host was so overwhelmed with emotion that she could hardly hold back the tears as her family came together for this heartwarming virtual reunion.
A Heartwarming Virtual Reunion
The 60-year-old Marie's children—Stephen, Jes, Rachel, Brianna, Matthew, and Abigail—all joined cohost Carrie Ann Inaba on the CBS talk show on Friday, May 8. With big smiles on their faces, they were ready to make their mom's day extra special. Carrie Ann, who's a judge on 'Dancing With the Stars,' explained the surprise with a touch of humor: "Marie thinks she left the show due to technical difficulties and has been trying to log back in. So, let’s bring her in now!"

Just moments later, the legendary singer behind "Paper Roses" returned to the screen to see her family gathered around their computers. "What?!" she exclaimed as her loved ones erupted in cheers, shouting "Happy Mother’s Day!" It was such a joyful moment, and fans couldn't help but wonder where her 23-year-old son, Brandon, was during the celebration.

Words from the Heart
Carrie Ann told Marie, "Since your family couldn’t be there with you on Mother’s Day this year, we thought this was the best next thing to bring everyone here." After composing herself, Marie's children began expressing their heartfelt gratitude, making the day extra special.
Stephen, 37, who joined the call from his office while his wife Claire stayed home with their sons, gushed, "Thank you for always being a great example of what a mom should be, what a wife should be… because it helped me pick an amazing wife. She’s managing the three crazies right now!"
Daughter Rachel, 30, chimed in alongside her younger siblings Matthew, 20, and Abigail, 17, as well as her own children Rocket Jade and Wolf. "Thanks for always being a wonderful mom and showing us by example what it is to be a great wife and mother. You're a wonderful grandmother to my children," she said, bringing tears to everyone's eyes.

Jes, 32, added her own heartfelt message, saying, "I’m just so grateful you’re my mom. I couldn’t have asked for one better… I’m glad you adopted me." It was a sweet reminder of the bond that adoption can create.
A Mother's Love Knows No Bounds
Throughout the rest of their appearance, Marie's kids and grandkids continued to shower her with kind words, melting her heart. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, she's been quarantined with her husband Steven Craig in Utah, but this virtual celebration was just what she needed.
"Thank you so much, my angels… I’m just the most blessed woman on the planet," Marie marveled. "I love all my children. They are the happiest things in my existence. And my grandkids? It’s like having my kids on steroids. It’s just so amazing, and I love you all… it’s the happiest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life."
Though Marie had hoped to celebrate Mother’s Day with her family in person, this surprise on 'The Talk' surely brightened her day. In an October 2019 chat with 'Closer Weekly,' the 'Key is Love' author—who is also the loving mom of her late son Michael Bryan—revealed why she does just about anything to entertain her grandkids.
