Why The View Was The Hardest Job Yet For Fuller House's Candace Cameron

Even though Candace Cameron Bure was only on "The View" for seasons 19 and 20, her time there left a lasting impression. In just two seasons, she quickly realized that being a cohost wasn't exactly her cup of tea.

“That was a super tough job,” the mom of three told Good Housekeeping on Wednesday, April 22, sharing her thoughts about her experience on the program. “It really pushed me to grow in ways I never expected, but honestly, it was the most challenging job I’ve ever had… You're always trying to find your voice amidst so many strong opinions,” she added. It's clear that Candace's time on the show was a whirlwind of emotions and challenges.

Life on 'The View'

Back in 2015, Candace Cameron Bure, then 44, joined the iconic daytime talk show as a cohost alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symoné, Michelle Collins, Joy Behar, and Paula Faris. She balanced this demanding role while also starring in "Fuller House," a show that brought her back to her roots. The logistics were nothing short of exhausting—after wrapping up her day on the ABC set, Candace would hop on a flight to Los Angeles to film scenes for her sitcom. Despite the grueling schedule, she found a silver lining in discussing her faith on the show.

“That was the easiest part for me,” Candace revealed during an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show. “But I’m thrilled to be focusing on lighter topics right now, away from the intensity of 'The View.'" For Candace, faith has always been a guiding light. In a heartfelt interview with Closer Weekly, she elaborated on its significance in her life. "My faith is the foundation for who I am," she explained. "It's something I cling to through every season of life, whether it’s the highs or the lows. Whenever fear, worry, or anxiety creep in, I turn to the Bible for comfort and clarity."

    Moving Forward

Thankfully, Candace’s career has taken her in exciting new directions. She recently wrapped up work on her 2020 TV movie, "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Heist and Seek," proving that there's plenty more to celebrate beyond her time on 'The View.' “I’m living out my dreams and embracing every opportunity that comes my way,” she told Closer. “There’s just so much happening, it’s hard to keep up!"
