Hey there, friends. Let's talk about a little incident involving Josh Brolin and his family. You might have heard that Josh recently found himself in the middle of a controversy after visiting his stepmom, the legendary Barbra Streisand, and his dad, James Brolin, during these challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic. He was joined by his wife, Kathryn, and their adorable 1-year-old daughter, Westlyn, affectionately known as "Bean." Now, Josh has stepped forward to clear the air and apologize for the visit.
Josh Reflects on His Actions
Josh Brolin, in his typical candid style, addressed the situation head-on. "My father lives right next door to us," he explained in an Instagram video. "We had a plan to go see them and not be near them, but that plan fell apart, and that's our responsibility. We were planning to pick something up and show Bean the pool because, well, we don't have a pool. Looking back, I think it was irresponsible. It's tough to admit when you've made a mistake, but here we are."

Being Honest and Taking Responsibility
At 52 years old, Josh admits that it's not always easy to own up to our mistakes. "It's hard to be honest sometimes," he confessed. "It's hard to look in the mirror and say, 'Maybe I screwed up.' But the responses I received brought me back to my truth. It's humbling to realize that some people out there might not take the pandemic seriously, thinking they're invincible. But for me, I know that's not the case, and we've been very responsible up until this point. So, I truly apologize for any confusion or concern my actions may have caused."
The visit was originally shared on Instagram in a post that Josh has since deleted. The caption read, "There's nothing like a good meeting up with family when all you can hear is a distant muffling of what used to be called words." It was a heartfelt moment, but one that understandably sparked some debate given the current climate.
Barbra's Heartfelt Response
Meanwhile, Barbra Streisand, at 77 years young, also chimed in with a touching photo of the family holding up a sign that read, "We love you Gamma and Grampa," outside her window. In her caption, she said, "I just love the sign that Josh and Kathryn painted yesterday when they came to see us with our little grandchild Westlyn! P.S. all of the flowers are now blooming on our wishing well — we are wishing with our hearts and minds for everybody to stay well!"

It seems like Josh has learned his lesson and will be sticking to all the social distancing rules from now on. After all, staying safe is the priority, especially during these unprecedented times.
