Former All My Children star Colin Egglesfield is counting down the days until he can pop the question to his girlfriend, Aline Nobre. In an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, the 47-year-old actor opened up about his plans to propose to Aline, sharing that he’s already got the perfect ring ready for the special moment. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Colin remains hopeful and optimistic about their future together.
A Delayed but Meaningful Engagement
As Colin explains, "Technically, we would be engaged by now." However, due to unforeseen circumstances brought on by the global coronavirus outbreak, his plans had to be put on hold. "I was supposed to head to Brazil to meet Aline's family and officially ask for her hand in marriage," Colin recalls. "Unfortunately, my flight got canceled in mid-March, just as the world started shutting down." He adds, "It's been frustrating, but I’m determined to make it happen as soon as possible. July is looking like the best bet right now!"

Staying Connected During Quarantine
Even though the pandemic disrupted Colin’s travel plans, the couple has found creative ways to maintain their connection. "We’ve been watching movies together via FaceTime and WhatsApp," Colin says with a smile. "It’s been a blessing in disguise, really. We’re getting to know each other more deeply without the distractions of everyday life. It’s allowed us to build an even stronger foundation for our relationship." He continues, "There’s something magical about sharing those little moments, even if we’re miles apart."

Colin and Aline’s love story isn’t just a recent development—it’s a tale that spans nearly a decade. The two first crossed paths while working on the film Open Road back in 2012. Though they dated on-and-off for several years, distance eventually drove them apart. "At one point, Aline had to move to New York, and I stayed in L.A.," Colin explains. "Life just got in the way. But then, last December, fate brought us back together. We reconnected, and it felt like no time had passed at all."
Colin fondly remembers his trip to Brazil earlier this year. "I went down there for my birthday in February, and it was incredible. We spent quality time together, and it solidified how serious we are about each other. It was like picking up right where we left off, only better this time around."
