It’s no secret that Sarah Ferguson is absolutely thrilled about her daughter Princess Eugenie welcoming a baby into the world. In an exclusive interview with Closer, Sarah reveals just how overjoyed she is about the upcoming arrival. “I can’t even hide my excitement,” she shares. “This news has brought so much joy into my life, and I couldn’t be happier.”
Why This Baby Means So Much to the Royal Family
Princess Eugenie, who just turned 30, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, 35, are expecting their first child in February. The little one will not only become Queen Elizabeth II’s ninth great-grandchild but also mark Sarah’s transition into becoming a first-time grandmother. “Being a grandmother is such a unique role,” Sarah explains with a laugh. “You get all the fun of spoiling the kids, enjoying every moment of their mischief, but at the end of the day, you don’t have to make the tough decisions—that’s up to the parents!”
Sarah Shares Her Plans for Indulging the Grandchild
Already dreaming up ways to spoil her grandchild, Sarah reminisces about the fun she had raising her own daughters. “I’m so excited to have that same kind of fun again,” she says. “When my kids were little, I bought them every Barbie doll imaginable so we could create entire sets together. It’s something I cherished deeply, and now I can’t wait to do it all over again with this little one.”
