It looks like Grace and Mark are serious about their relationship—they've already introduced each other to their families. During their recent visit to London, the couple enjoyed lunch with Mark’s mother, Ann Dexter-Jones. Back in March 2021, the U.K.’s The Sun reported that Mark had met Grace’s famous parents: Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep and her husband, sculptor Don Gummer, during a visit to New York.

Meeting Meryl Streep must have been quite an experience for Mark. A source told the publication, “He has been welcomed into Grace’s family home to meet her parents—Meryl and her long-time husband, Don Gummer. They seemed to really like him, which is a great sign. It’s not easy to impress someone like Meryl Streep, but Mark seems to have done just that.”
Previous Marriages: A New Chapter
This potential engagement would mark the second marriage for both Grace and Mark. Grace quietly tied the knot with actor Tay Strathairn in July 2019, but the marriage ended abruptly after only 42 days. She officially filed for divorce on March 23, 2020, citing "irreconcilable differences." Now, it seems Grace is ready to embark on a new chapter with Mark.
Mark, who won an Oscar for co-writing the Best Original Song "Shallow" with Lady Gaga, was previously married to French singer and actress Joséphine de La Baume from 2011 to 2018. After their divorce, he dated Saturday Night Live talent executive Rebecca Schwartz for seven months before they parted ways in May 2019.
