“We performed an entire take of a marriage ceremony with real priests present,” Keanu revealed in a November 2021 interview with Esquire. “Winona insists we are married. Coppola agrees. So, I suppose, in the eyes of God, we’re officially hitched.”

“We genuinely got married in Dracula,” the Stranger Things star explained. “I swear to God, I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master, and the priest conducted the entire ceremony. So, technically, we’re married.”

Despite the ceremony, the pair never signed any official marriage documents. Keanu and Winona’s friendship spans over three decades, dating back to their first meeting at the Independent Spirit Awards in 1987 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where they presented an award together.
