As Jenna Bush Hager embarked on a book tour with her twin sister, Barbara Bush, a close source reveals that the Today host is finding immense satisfaction in her burgeoning writing career. Let's take a closer look at how this journey is enriching her life and how she's balancing it all.

Writing Brings Joy to Jenna's Heart

“Jenna absolutely adores collaborating on these books with her sister,” the insider exclusively confides to Closer. “It’s a deeply fulfilling experience for her, nurturing her soul in ways that resonate profoundly. The beauty of it is that this is something she can continue to do throughout her life.”

March Release Marks New Milestone

Jenna and Barbara, both 43 years old, launched their children’s book I Loved You First on March 25. Following its release, the duo embarked on a nationwide tour, visiting cities across the U.S., including Connecticut, New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida, and Texas. It’s been a whirlwind adventure, but one that has brought them closer together.

“Having this second career as a children’s book author is truly a double blessing,” the source elaborates. “Not only does it provide Jenna with a creative outlet and the chance to work alongside her sister, but it also offers her a secondary career that could potentially last for years to come. It’s a win-win for her in so many ways.”

But don’t worry—Jenna’s not planning to leave the Today show anytime soon. In fact, the source assures us that she remains content in her role on the show, even as she explores her passion for writing.

“She has no intention of stepping away from the Today show now or in the foreseeable future,” the insider reveals. “She’s incredibly happy with this side of her career, something she does in her free time. However, she does appreciate having a solid plan for the future.”

    Co-Hosting Duties and Family Fun

Jenna has been cohosting Today With Jenna & Friends alongside guest cohosts since Hoda Kotb departed the show in January. Interestingly, Barbara was brought in as a guest cohost for episodes aired on March 24 and March 25, making it a memorable family affair.

Fans were thrilled to see the sisters cohosting the show together, as Jenna continues her search for a permanent cohost. The former first daughter gave an update on whether she’s any closer to locking down that perfect fit.

“We’re thoroughly enjoying this rotation, but eventually, we’ll need a permanent host because we want the audience to feel the same connection that Hoda and I had,” Jenna explained during an interview with DailyMail.com on April 1.

It’s so fun to date right now, but eventually, I want it to be one person.”

Jenna’s husband, Henry Hager, also made an appearance as a guest cohost last month. “First of all, a star was born! But none of us knew that this wasn’t really his cup of tea,” Jenna joked about her 46-year-old husband’s experience on the show.

“My sister feels the same way. I often ask her, ‘Would you ever do this forever?’ and she replies, ‘No!’ But it made me so happy,” Jenna shared. “The difference with family week is that I love these people, so naturally, if they’re nervous, I feel their nerves. It’s different from meeting an actor for the first time, where I don’t know them as well.”

“Of course, I want them to succeed, and I’ll do everything in my power to make them shine. That’s my job, and I take it very seriously. But there’s added pressure when it’s your family,” Jenna confessed. “There’s a different dynamic there because you love them deeply.”
