Chase Looney burst onto the scene as a beloved cast member on Fixer to Fabulous, captivating audiences since the 2017 pilot episode. But when the cameras stop rolling, Chase steps into his role as a devoted dad to his two kids, Lucy and Landon. Scroll down to get an inside look at this HGTV star’s family life and how he balances fatherhood with his busy career. Let’s dive in!
Who Are Chase Looney’s Two Lovely Kids, Lucy and Landon?
You might know Chase Looney from his days on Fixer to Fabulous, where he worked alongside Dave and Jenny Marrs until 2022. While he hasn’t announced plans to return to the show, Chase has stayed busy as a firefighter and continues to take on home improvement projects in his free time. But beyond the tools and the trades, Chase is also a proud dad to two amazing kids—Lucy and Landon. Let’s meet them!

Chase shares custody of his two children with his ex-wife, Chelsie Lamborn-DeMerritt. Chelsie, now married to Douglas DeMerritt, often shares heartwarming photos of their blended family on social media. It’s clear that family ties remain strong, even after their split. In one touching post from September 2022, Chelsie celebrated her son Landon with a heartfelt message.

"Oh, my sweet, sweet Landon. I always dreamed of having a son, and you’ve been everything I could have asked for," she wrote. "You light up our lives with your laughter and your refreshing outlook on life. You're kind and loving, and I feel so incredibly lucky to be your mom."
Chase, too, uses social media to showcase his love for his kids, though he tends to keep their appearances more private. In January 2021, he shared a special moment with his daughter Lucy during what would have been their annual daddy-daughter dance.
"The world has changed so much because of COVID," Chase reflected. "Lucy and I have been going to the daddy-daughter dance since she was in first grade, but this year, we had to find a new way to celebrate. So, I challenged myself—and other parents—to keep things normal for our kids, even in these confusing times."
He went on to describe how they made the evening special. "Chelsie picked out Lucy’s dress, and I grilled up some delicious steaks. We had dinner in our living room, and DJ Landon spun some tunes to get us dancing. It wasn’t the traditional dance, but it was perfect in its own way."
Though life looks different now that Chase and Chelsie are co-parenting, it’s clear that their children remain their top priority. In a January 2023 post, Chase shared a carousel of photos with Lucy and Landon, accompanied by a touching caption.
"Life may look different now with just the three of us," he wrote, "but one thing hasn’t changed: kids will always come first. They’re the heart and soul of everything I do."

Chase Looney’s Journey as a Single Dad
Since stepping away from the spotlight of Fixer to Fabulous, Chase has embraced his role as a single dad with open arms. Balancing his demanding job as a firefighter with carpentry projects and parenting isn’t easy, but Chase makes it work. His love for Lucy and Landon shines through in everything he does, whether it’s grilling steaks for a homemade daddy-daughter dance or ensuring his kids know they’re his number-one priority.
Through it all, Chase proves that being a great dad isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, loving deeply, and creating memories that last a lifetime. And if his social media posts are any indication, Chase is doing just that.
