    What was your biggest break in your career?

    Leaving local news to join a TV magazine show was a bold move for Leeza. Despite her news director warning her it might be "career suicide," she trusted her instincts. "It was the beginning of my journey into creative storytelling," she says with pride. This decision marked the start of her path to becoming the iconic figure we know today.

    Memorable Moments from Hosting 'Entertainment Tonight'

    What are some of your favorite memories from hosting 'Entertainment Tonight'?

    Hosting Entertainment Tonight took Leeza around the world, from glamorous red carpets to unexpected adventures. She recounts a thrilling experience in Israel during the late '80s while covering Rambo 3. "We were interviewing Sylvester Stallone when gunfire erupted near our hotel. Our crew ended up covering the skirmish and rushing the tapes to Tel Aviv to make the satellite deadline," she shares. "One day, I was tap dancing with Sammy Davis Jr., and the next, I was racing cars with Tom Cruise. You just never knew what was coming next!"

    How did you feel about hosting your own show, 'Leeza'?

    Leeza absolutely loved every aspect of being a talk show host. For someone who thrives on control, this format was perfect. "I could choose the guests, ask the questions, and call the shots," she explains. The show tackled a wide range of topics, from true crime to family drama. "It was the ultimate on-camera experience, and I cherished sharing those intimate, spontaneous moments with our guests," she adds.

    Winning 'Celebrity Apprentice'

    Tell us about your experience winning 'Celebrity Apprentice' in 2015.

    The infamous boardroom of Celebrity Apprentice, where Donald Trump would famously declare, "You're fired!" was enough to bring even the toughest contestants to tears. Leeza admits she was hesitant to join due to her aversion to drama. "But it turned out to be a game-changer for my charity, Leeza's Care Connection," she reveals. She used her winnings to open a free center in her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, which has since become a model for caregiver support.

    Leeza's Care Connection: A Beacon of Support

    Tell us more about Leeza's Care Connection.

    When Leeza's mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, she created a support system that she wished existed for her family. "Leeza's Care Connection is a place where caregivers can find support, understanding, and confidence in navigating the challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's," she explains. Her HUGS program, which stands for Helping U Grow Strong, pairs experienced caregivers with those who are just starting their journey.

    Advice for Families Facing Alzheimer's

    What advice would you give someone dealing with a loved one with Alzheimer's?

    Leeza emphasizes the importance of addressing the overwhelming emotions that come with such a diagnosis. "While we don't have survivors of Alzheimer's yet, there's still so much life and love after diagnosis," she says. "It's crucial to hold onto yourself even as you let go of someone you love."

    The Sacrifices of Success

    Did you have to make sacrifices to succeed in your career?

    Leeza acknowledges the universal struggle of balancing work and family life. "Balance is overrated," she jokes. "Hard work and its rewards don't happen from the sidelines. When you invest your time, talent, and energy, financial and emotional dividends follow."

    Family Life and Legacy

    Did any of your three children follow in your footsteps?

    None of Leeza's children pursued careers in entertainment, but they've all carved out unique paths. Her daughter is a dancer-choreographer specializing in dance movement therapy, while her son Troy is a TV editor, and Nate designs high-end streetwear. "All three of them are animal lovers, and their pets are my only 'grandchildren' so far!" she adds with a smile.

    What do you enjoy about being this age?

    Leeza embraces the quiet and simplicity that come with this stage of life. "I've learned to let go of the need for chaos and approval, focusing instead on earning respect," she says. "Most days, I feel pretty good about where I am."

    Leeza's spirituality is rooted in her faith, connection to others, and sense of purpose. "As I've grown older, I find solace in quiet moments where I can listen deeply and reflect without distractions," she shares. "I truly believe that the universe is always working in our favor, even if we can't see it."
