It’s an autoimmune disorder where my body attacks my own thyroid. Think of it as hypothyroidism but on steroids. While it definitely has its challenges, I’m grateful that this is the disease I’ve been dealt with—something that can actually be managed with the right care.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, Hashimoto’s disease often leads to a decline in hormone production, which can affect energy levels, mood, and overall well-being. For Jennifer, this diagnosis was a turning point, but she’s approached it with resilience and optimism.

“I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s last summer, but I’ve been dealing with hypothyroidism for a long time,” Jennifer wrote in a May 2018 post. “Since starting testosterone pellet therapy, I’ve noticed a huge difference. My energy levels are through the roof, and my hormones are finally leveling out for the most part. It’s been a game-changer for me.”
She also opened up about the emotional toll of a miscarriage she experienced in 2012, long before her diagnosis. “I lost my first pregnancy back then, and it was devastating. My current OBGYN discovered that my progesterone levels were critically low, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy pregnancy. I truly believe I avoided another miscarriage thanks to her expertise. It’s mind-blowing to think that my previous doctor wouldn’t even test my hormones unless I had three consecutive miscarriages. Can you imagine?”
Family Life: A Source of Strength
Despite the challenges Jennifer has faced, she’s built an incredible life with her husband, Mike Todryk, and their three children: Von, Berkley, and Vivienne. Her Instagram page is a treasure trove of family moments, showcasing their adventures and the love they share.
