There’s no doubt that Kelly Ripa isn’t one to shy away from speaking her mind, especially when the situation calls for it. During a recent episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, aired on Monday, September 25, the co-host didn’t hesitate to call out some unruly audience members who were getting a little too rowdy.

As Mark Consuelos, 52, enthusiastically reminded the audience, “You know what tonight is, right? It’s Monday night! And what happens on Monday night? That’s right—football!” Mark, who plays a character in Riverdale, couldn’t hide his excitement over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on Kelly’s favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

The conversation quickly turned into a playful back-and-forth between the couple about their favorite teams, sparking some heated reactions from the audience. While most of the audience's cheers and jeers were inaudible to viewers at home, it didn’t go unnoticed by Kelly, also 52, who wasn’t afraid to put her foot down. “Stop!” she firmly told the overly enthusiastic sports fans.

Later in the segment, Mark playfully handed his wife a Buccaneers jersey signed by quarterback Baker Mayfield. Kelly, true to form, couldn’t resist delivering a zinger, declaring that there was “no way” she could be seen wearing the rival team’s jersey. The audience erupted in laughter, and Kelly couldn’t help but join in on the fun.

But the playful banter didn’t stop there. Mark decided to up the ante by making a friendly bet with a crew member. If the Eagles won the game, he would proudly don an Eagles jersey during the next episode of Live. As fate would have it, the Eagles triumphed that night, much to Kelly’s delight.

Kelly and Mark have been bringing the laughs since the season premiere on September 5. In fact, during the first episode, Mark shared a hilarious story about an embarrassing injury he suffered during a summer vacation with Kelly and their three kids, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.

“I was playing beach volleyball, and when I went to set the ball, it felt like it hit my finger just a little strange. Next thing you know, my finger was at a right angle,” Mark recalled, laughing as he recounted the incident.

Doctors diagnosed him with a “malette finger” and recommended a cast for eight weeks. Kelly, always quick with a comeback, joked, “Nobody loves an injury more than Mark. The trip went from us being on vacation to us tending to Mark’s finger.”
