However, she will still be part of the HGTV show Good Bones! Mina opened up about her mom’s decision to step away from the business in a candid interview. I’m all about building an empire and moving at lightning speed, while Karen wants to slow down and enjoy the ride. On August 9, 2023, Mina dropped a bombshell on her podcast, “Mina AF.” She revealed that Good Bones will come to an end after season 8. “Today, I filmed my very last few pickups for Good Bones. Not just Good Bones season 8, but for Good Bones itself. It’s official—we’re wrapping things up, folks,” she announced.
When asked about the decision to end the series, Mina simply explained that she felt it was time for a change. “I just needed to switch things up,” she said. Karen echoed this sentiment on her Instagram page, sharing a trailer for the final season, which premiered on HGTV on August 15. In the trailer, Karen reflects fondly on their journey, saying, “I remember when it was just the two of us.” Mina added, “I just want to slow down and focus on what’s next.”
