HGTV star Christina Hall's marriage to her husband, Josh Hall, has come to an end after just over two years together, Closer can confirm. This news might come as a shock to fans who watched the couple's whirlwind romance unfold on social media and in the public eye.
Josh Hall Files for Divorce
Josh, 43, officially filed for the dissolution of their marriage on July 15, according to Closer. The date of separation was listed as one week before, on July 8, as per documents obtained by TMZ. Interestingly, Christina, 41, is also reportedly planning to file for divorce separately. It seems the split was mutual, but the reasons behind the decision remain private for now.
Looking back, the couple’s romance seemed destined from the start. They got engaged in September 2021, just six months after meeting. Their whirlwind romance began shortly after Christina finalized her divorce from Ant Anstead in June 2021. Despite some critics questioning the timing of their relationship, Christina stood firm, defending her choice to move on and find love again.

From Romance to Marriage
Their love story unfolded quickly. Photos of the couple vacationing in Mexico emerged in July 2021, revealing their relationship to the world. Christina confirmed their romance soon after and shared her thoughts on those who doubted her decision to jump into a new relationship so soon after her divorce. She took to Instagram on July 8, 2021, to introduce her fans to Josh and explain her perspective.
“I met Josh when I wasn’t in a state of fear or fight-or-flight. I had taken time off social media, hired a spiritual coach, and even smoked a Bufo toad, which reset my brain and kicked out years of anxiety in 15 minutes,” Christina wrote. “When we met this past spring, the synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore.”
She added, “I may be a bit crazy and I’m definitely not perfect, but I will never live my life based on other people’s judgments or opinions. So yes, another relationship, and guess what? I’m 38 — I’ll do what I want.”
A Beautiful Wedding
The couple tied the knot in April 2022, but they celebrated their union with a stunning formal ceremony in Maui a few months later. Christina shared photos from the event on Instagram, showcasing her breathtaking lace wedding gown and the breathtaking setting of Merriman’s Kapalua.
“Shared vows in front of family and our close friends,” Christina wrote in the caption. “Everything in life has led me to where I am right now, which is exactly where I want to be. My dream man on the dreamiest island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an amazing night filled with love.”
Though they didn’t have children together, Josh embraced his role as stepdad to Christina’s three kids from previous marriages. He became a beloved figure in the lives of Taylor, Brayden, and Hudson, showing his dedication to the family they built together.

My ride or die, protector and the best step daddy,” she wrote. “I truly appreciate everything you do for me and the kids. Love our life baby, let’s live it like there’s no tomorrow.”
Communication and Openness
In a recent interview with E! News published on July 13, Christina opened up about her approach to maintaining a strong marriage. She emphasized the importance of communication, saying, “The secret to a strong marriage is being communicative. It’s all about keeping communication open and finding time for each other, whether it’s date nights or little trips.”
Despite the separation, Christina remains positive about her life and career. “I love where I live. I love my family, I love doing these shows. So, I feel like everything’s going really well,” she said, showing her resilience and determination to move forward.
