It’s that time of year again when the spooky season takes over, and the Herjavec family is all about celebrating it in style. Robert Herjavec, the beloved star of Shark Tank, couldn’t resist getting into the Halloween spirit. He spent the day dressed in a vibrant, eye-catching costume and enjoyed some quality family time with his adorable 6-year-old twins, Hudson and Haven.
Kym Shares Adorable Halloween Moments
Kym Johnson-Herjavec, Robert’s wife and a former Dancing With the Stars champion, gave fans a delightful peek into their Halloween festivities by sharing a heartwarming video on her Instagram page. In the video, which she posted on October 31, she captioned it with a simple yet meaningful phrase: “Mum duties on Halloween.” At 48, Kym continues to be a loving mom and an active participant in her family’s celebrations.
Hudson and Haven’s Creative Costumes
One of the highlights of the video is little Hudson, dressed as a pilot, confidently strutting down the hallway with a tiny suitcase in hand. Meanwhile, Haven looked every bit the enchanting witch in her costume, complete with a witch hat and a broom. These outfits showcased their creativity and fun-loving personalities. It’s clear that these twins have a knack for making even the simplest moments magical.

Robert’s Playful Piñata Costume
But let’s not forget Dad! Robert, who turned 62 this year, showed off his playful side by donning a colorful piñata costume. Featuring bright, rainbow-hued paper tassels and playful horns, the costume was a hit with both his kids and their fans. Watching him dance around with his children, it’s obvious he was having the time of his life. After all, what’s Halloween without some trick-or-treating? The family ventured out into the neighborhood to collect treats, spreading joy wherever they went.
“Loving the pilot costume!” one fan commented on the post, while another joked, “How much sugar did he fit in that suitcase?” It’s moments like these that remind us how special family traditions can be, especially during the holidays.
A Family of Dancers and Singers
Robert and Kym welcomed Hudson and Haven in April 2018, two years after tying the knot. While Robert also has older children—Caprice, Skye, and Brendan—from his previous marriage to Diane Plese, his current family is all about embracing new adventures. Interestingly, Kym, who danced her way to fame on Dancing With the Stars, has passed her love for dance onto her kids. Both Hudson and Haven share their mom’s passion for dancing.
“They also love to sing. They’re really into singing,” Kym revealed in a March interview with Closer. She explained that her kids are big fans of Kidz Bop, a popular YouTube channel where kids perform age-appropriate versions of current hits, including songs by artists like Lizzo. “So my kids have dance parties, and they love to put Kidz Bop on,” she added, painting a picture of a lively household filled with music and laughter.

Encouraging Their Kids to Explore
Kym mentioned that Hudson has dreams of joining Kidz Bop someday, which is a testament to his ambition and creativity. Beyond music and dance, the twins are encouraged to explore a wide range of activities. “We are trying to have them just do everything,” Kym shared. “They do soccer, singing, dancing, and tennis. We are just trying to let them have a go at everything and see what they really gravitate to.”
The ultimate goal for Kym and Robert is to help their children discover their true passions. “I feel like you do need to give a bit of a push if they do excel in something, but we just want them to be kids right now and have fun and try different things,” Kym explained. It’s clear that this couple prioritizes giving their children a well-rounded childhood filled with exploration and joy.

Family Adventures Beyond Halloween
Kym emphasized that traveling is another big part of their family life. From Canada to New York City, the Herjavec family loves embarking on adventures together. “We’re always up for being outside, adventures, whether we’re in Canada or wherever,” Kym told People in March. “We love New York. Whenever we go to New York, we’re out in Central Park. My daughter loves the bagels, the pretzels there, the giant pretzels as big as her face.”
Whether it’s visiting museums, exploring nature, or simply enjoying a day out in the city, the Herjavec family embraces every opportunity to create lasting memories. “Robert cannot sit still, so he loves to be busy and active and do things. So we just try and spend as much quality time with the kids as we possibly can,” Kym concluded.
