During an appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna on September 12, Julie confirmed that her character Virginia Venit and Adam Sandler's character are still together in Happy Gilmore 2. Jenna Bush Hager joked, “Oh, you just told us a spoiler alert!” to which Julie replied with a laugh, “Is that bad? No. That … You can put that … I think I’m allowed to say that!”

When asked about her kids' interest in her work, Julie admitted that they don’t usually enjoy watching her projects. However, they’re making an exception for Happy Gilmore 2. “They’re excited for Happy Gilmore. They love Adam Sandler. They never saw Happy Gilmore 1 but they’re gonna watch Happy Gilmore 2. I don’t understand it,” she joked.

Family Life and Parenting

Julie was also asked about her relationship with her sons and whether they open up to her about their personal lives. She revealed that her boys, like most teenagers, aren’t very forthcoming about their feelings, especially when it comes to relationships.
