Hey there, friends! If you're anything like me, you love getting a peek into the creative and heartfelt ways parents personalize spaces for their kids. Erin Napier, the beloved star of Home Town, recently gave us all a treat by sharing a glimpse of her youngest daughter Mae's newly decorated bedroom on Instagram. And let me tell you—it’s absolutely adorable.

Big Sister Inspiration Leads to Baby Sister's Dreamy Canopy

In a sweet post on September 23, Erin, 39, showcased her three-year-old daughter Mae lounging comfortably in her bed beneath a charming canopy. The caption read, “Big sissy has a net, baby sis needed one too.” Talk about sibling equality! This canopy isn’t just functional—it’s a whimsical touch that transforms Mae’s room into a fairytale-like haven. The space is enhanced further with lush green floral wallpaper and a tastefully placed lamp nearby, adding warmth and character.

A Closer Look at Mae's Magical Retreat

If you zoom in on the photo, you'll notice Mae clutching a book close to her face while surrounded by her beloved stuffed animals. It’s clear she feels right at home here. To complement the vibrant wallpaper, her bedspread features soft white hues accented with delicate green florals, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of space any little one would dream of, and fans couldn’t help but notice.

    Flashback to Helen's Bedroom

For those who follow Erin closely, this isn’t the first time she’s showcased her decorating prowess. Back in September 2023, Erin delighted fans with a sneak peek into her eldest daughter Helen’s bedroom. That room also featured a canopy above her bed, proving that these canopies are more than just decor—they’re a Napier family tradition.

Erin playfully noted in the caption, “Helen’s bedroom has a mosquito problem we have been trying to solve for weeks. Today’s solution may be her favorite thing EVER.” Her words sparked joy among her followers, many of whom fondly recalled their own childhood experiences with similar canopies.

    Helen's Bedroom: A Nature-Inspired Paradise

Helen’s room is a true reflection of her parents’ impeccable taste. The walls boast colorful wallpaper adorned with images of trees and wildlife, creating an outdoor-inspired oasis indoors. Beneath the canopy, a cozy tan and white area rug softens the space, paired perfectly with a bed framed by rich brown wooden bars at the head and foot. It’s the kind of room that invites curiosity and imagination.

One fan reminisced, “Oh my goodness! My sister and I absolutely had these nets as preteens, and we LOVED them! Felt like we were royalty every morning waking up to that view.” It’s easy to see why these canopies hold such a special place in people’s hearts.

Life Beyond Town: Erin and Ben's Countryside Getaway

Erin and her husband, Ben Napier, share a deep connection with their craftsman cottage in Laurel, Mississippi, but they also cherish their countryside retreat. For Erin, this second home represents more than just a change of scenery—it’s an opportunity for her daughters to experience the joys of nature.

  • “I grew up on a 40-acre chicken farm and would pick out a baby chick to be my pet every time a new load would come,” Erin shared with Southern Living, reflecting on her childhood. “My playtime consisted of climbing a lot of trees and digging for arrowheads in the woods. That’s not something our girls can do in town. I want their bathwater to be dirty at the end of the day, so it means they weren’t just playing on screens.”

    A Tudor-Style Haven

When discussing their vacation home, Erin expressed her admiration for its unique Tudor-style architecture. “One reason we had to get this house was its very British look. It feels as though you’ve crossed the ocean and you’re not in Mississippi anymore. It’s like a vacation for us,” she explained. “All the cozy rooms with dark wood make it seem as if you’re sitting beside a fire—that is the dream for me. I love this style so, so much.”

Since purchasing the property, fans have been treated to stunning updates shared through Instagram posts. The exterior of the home is just as captivating as the interior, thanks in large part to Ben’s creative vision.

    Ben's Stonework Masterpiece

“Today, I want to tell you about the stone. I’ve never been to the U.K., but it will happen one day. The homes in the Scottish and English countryside always feature these beautiful gardens and farms with stacked stone walls,” Ben wrote in a May 24 Instagram caption. “I spent 2 years gathering everything I wanted to use to build. These stones are from the Ozark mountains, but I found them on #FacebookMarketplace in #Brooklyn. Not that Brooklyn, the Brooklyn outside of @campshelby1917. Now, I am not a #freemason, but I just kept positioning them over time until they felt nice and sturdy. More posts coming, but let me know what yall want to know about? #EnglishCountryGarden.”
