Here’s a story that will warm your heart and maybe even make you hungry. Vanna White, the iconic co-host of Wheel of Fortune, and her son Nikko Santo Pietro recently showed off their incredible bond by sharing a delightful cooking video on Instagram. The two spent quality time together in the kitchen, proving that nothing brings people closer than sharing a meal—and the memories that come with it.
Mom and Son Team Up to Create a Family Favorite
In the video, Vanna, who’s now 67, playfully admitted that she’s not exactly a culinary expert. But lucky for her, her 30-year-old son Nikko is a pro in the kitchen. Together, they whipped up a dish called “Uncle Roy’s Chicken,” named after Vanna’s beloved uncle who originally introduced her to the recipe back in their New York days. “This is one of my all-time favorite meals,” Vanna explained, beaming with pride as Nikko took the lead. “And Nikko makes it just as good as Uncle Roy did!”
A Real Estate Agent with a Hidden Talent
Nikko, a real estate agent based in Los Angeles, proved he’s not just a whiz at closing deals—he’s also a total kitchen wizard. In the video, he shared some helpful tips like how to peel ginger without losing your patience and cutting onions without shedding a single tear. But even the best chefs make mistakes, and Nikko was no exception. He forgot to add salt to the chicken! “Oops, we were so caught up in the moment that we forgot this crucial step,” he joked, smiling at his mom. “Don’t worry, Vanna. We’ll fix it. Just close your eyes!”

The Final Taste Test
Once the dish was ready, it was time for the ultimate test: the taste test. Both Vanna and Nikko were thrilled with how it turned out. “It’s perfect!” Vanna exclaimed, clearly impressed by her son’s skills. To top it off, they shared the full recipe at the end of the video so fans could try it at home. The video quickly racked up likes and comments, with fans praising Nikko’s good looks and charm. “Where have you been hiding this gorgeous guy, Vanna?” one commenter joked. Another added, “Nikko is literally great at everything!”

Of course, Nikko isn’t Vanna’s only child. She also has a daughter, Gigi Santo Pietro, from her previous marriage to George Santo Pietro, which lasted from 1990 to 2002. Last month, Nikko shared another sweet moment with his mom by posting a video of himself visiting her on the set of Wheel of Fortune. “Growing up with such a loving mother is the greatest blessing of my life,” he wrote in the caption. “I am incredibly grateful for her and everything she does. Visiting the set of Wheel of Fortune and seeing where I built some of my core memories is always a beautiful experience.”
Vanna’s Family Pride
Speaking of family pride, Vanna loves nothing more than talking about her kids. In a recent interview with Parade, she gushed about both Nikko and Gigi. “My son works at a real estate agency, and he does a fantastic job. He’s dedicated and hungry to succeed,” she said. “My daughter went to New York University and graduated with an art degree. Now she’s an amazing tattoo artist. She loves creating art that will last a lifetime. The work she does is truly beautiful.”
Vanna explained that spending time with her children has always been her top priority. “I’m a simple person. I dress up only for work. I love to crochet, and I do it whenever I can. When the pandemic hit, both my kids moved back to Los Angeles, so I’ve been able to spend even more time with them and my boyfriend, John Donaldson,” she added, smiling.
