Robert Herjavec Keeps Fitness Goals Alive in 2025
Hey there, fitness enthusiasts! It’s always inspiring to see someone who’s dedicated to their health and well-being, and Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec is doing just that in 2025. His wife, Kym Johnson-Herjavec, shared a heartwarming video on Instagram showing Robert hitting the gym on the very first day of the new year. Talk about commitment, right?
In Kym’s Instagram Stories, we see a 62-year-old Robert doing pushups on a yoga mat with all the intensity of a man half his age. She captioned the clip, “@robertherjavec getting it done! @chiefbrabon we have not missed a day working out on our holiday.” This little glimpse into their lives gives us all the motivation to get off the couch and hit the gym ourselves.
Robert’s Fitness Regimen: Staying Motivated
Now, let’s dive into what keeps Robert going. In a candid interview with Men’s Health back in April 2018, Robert opened up about the importance of mixing things up to stay motivated. “I try to do different things in order to stay highly motivated, because even the best of us can lose our motivation,” he revealed. It’s clear that variety is the spice of life, even when it comes to working out.

Robert’s approach to fitness has evolved over the years. “I used to think that cardio was the only way to lose weight, but I learned over time the benefits of resistance training and lifting,” he shared. His routine includes a mix of exercises, from natural resistance like pull-ups to a combination of six to eight exercises with three sets of eight to ten reps of medium weight. He throws in some cardio for good measure, too. Oh, and let’s not forget his love for SoulCycle—five times a week, no less! That’s some serious dedication.
Changing Up the Diet
But fitness isn’t just about working out; it’s also about what you put in your body. Robert has made some significant changes to his diet to maintain his best shape. “When I eat out, I always try to limit myself to eating half of my plate because portion sizes are often quite large,” he explained. Sharing meals with Kym is a strategy they both enjoy. “I don’t drink pop… people always think dieting is about solid foods, and they’re like, ‘Oh, you know, I’m really watching what I eat,’ but they’re drinking their fourth Coke of the day,” he joked. It’s all about awareness and making smart choices.

Portion control is another key element of Robert’s diet strategy. “It’s more for discipline,” he explained. “There are times when I’m traveling that this can’t be avoided, but portion control is key. Also balancing your meal with water or tea is important. I can reduce late-night cravings by having hot water with lemon, or just a glass of water.” These simple tricks can make a big difference in maintaining a balanced diet.
Family Life and Balancing Acts
Of course, Robert isn’t just about fitness and diet. He’s also a devoted dad to twins Hudson and Haven with Kym, and has kids Caprice, Skye, and Brendan from his marriage to ex-wife Diane Plese. In another Instagram Story, Robert shared a fun moment with Hudson and Haven, where they had a pizza party for New Year’s Eve. The kids were seen dancing in front of the oven as they watched their pizza cook, adding a touch of joy to the celebration.
Reflecting on his incredible journey, Robert wrote in a post-New Year’s Eve caption, “10 years ago I was living in a rented apartment going through a very dark period in my life. Fast forward to today, I am the happiest man alive spending Christmas and new year holidays in Montana with my beautiful family.” It’s clear that Robert values his family as much as he does his fitness, and it’s this balance that makes him such an inspiring figure.
“You must learn this very important lesson if you want to prepare your mind for success in 2025,” he concluded. So, let’s take a page out of Robert’s book and make 2025 the year we all commit to our health, happiness, and family.
