Carrie Underwood's 2 Kids: All About Isaiah and Jacob

Carrie Underwood recently shared a heartwarming update about her two sons, revealing that they’ve inherited some pretty impressive talents from both sides of the family. In an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, Carrie opened up about her kids’ unique skills, proving that being a mom to two little ones is as rewarding as it is hilarious.

Carrie’s Kids Carry the Family Torch

During her appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, Carrie was asked by host Kelly Ripa if her children, 10-year-old Isaiah Fisher and 6-year-old Jacob Fisher, had inherited her incredible musical abilities. Carrie couldn’t help but beam with pride as she shared her thoughts. “They both can carry a tune,” she said, her voice filled with admiration. “I feel like our oldest, Isaiah, probably has the biggest chance of heading in that direction.”

But it’s not all about music in the Underwood household. Carrie also revealed that her youngest, Jacob, seems to have taken after her husband, Mike Fisher, a retired NHL player. “Jake likes hockey,” she added. “So we may have a little of both in our family.” It’s clear that Carrie and Mike have passed down some pretty impressive genes to their kids, and who knows? Maybe one day we’ll see them following in their parents’ footsteps.

Kelly Ripa couldn’t resist poking a little fun at Jacob’s love for hockey. “Not hockey!” she joked. “You know when they become teenagers and go through puberty, hockey hands are a real thing. The smell is unforgettable!” Mark Consuelos, Kelly’s cohost and husband, chimed in with a laugh, adding, “The gloves smell!”

Carrie couldn’t help but laugh along, admitting that even at six years old, Jacob already has a knack for making things smell. “He’s six, and everything already stinks. It’s disgusting,” she joked. Despite the playful banter, it’s clear that Carrie is a proud mom who loves sharing stories about her kids with the world.

Returning to American Idol with Her Kids in Mind

Carrie shared that her kids didn’t get to see her during her American Idol days, but now they absolutely love watching her on TV. “They love seeing me on TV,” she told Yahoo Entertainment. “Even with younger kids who obviously did not see me on American Idol or early in my career, to some kiddos, [Saturday Night Football] is what they know me from. So I’ll take it. That’s really amazing.”

As Carrie makes her highly anticipated return to American Idol as a judge, it’s clear that her role as a mom has only deepened her appreciation for her career. Her kids might not have been around during her early days, but they’re definitely enjoying watching their mom shine on the small screen now.

    Family Life with Mike Fisher

Carrie and Mike Fisher have been married for nearly 15 years, and their love story continues to inspire fans. The couple tied the knot in July 2010 and welcomed their first son, Isaiah, in February 2015, followed by Jacob in January 2019. Carrie has spoken candidly about how motherhood has changed her life for the better, giving her a renewed sense of purpose.

“I remember when we first found out we were gonna have [Isaiah], it was like, ‘How are we gonna do this? Our lives are so crazy as it is,’” she admitted to People in 2017. “But you just make room, and you learn how important that family time is. Being able to spend time together, carve out some of that, and maybe even go on vacation or a cruise—that stuff is so important. It’s all about making time for family. That’s what it’s all about.”
