In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 33-year-old Dancing with the Stars pro dancer, who is married to Maksim Chmerkovskiy, shared just how magical the trip was. "It was everything we wanted it to be," she wrote. "We started our day with Trolls, Shai's new favorite movie that we had to buy ten times over—can you believe that? 😫 Then, we indulged in some classic bagels with cream cheese. But the real highlight was spending quality time on the beach with our close-knit group of family and friends. It was truly a day to remember."

A Special Birthday with Loved Ones
Peta made sure her followers got a front-row seat to the family’s unforgettable celebration. On January 7, she shared a video of Shai happily baking cupcakes with his loved ones. "This birthday was extra special because it was the first time my parents were able to celebrate with him," Peta explained. "It meant the world to me to have them there."
The day was packed with fun activities. "In the afternoon, we organized a family cooking session at the Baha Mar kids club with the amazing Chef Michael," she said. "The kids got to bake their very own cupcakes and enjoyed playing in the incredible kids' space. Meanwhile, the adults were having a blast cooking fillet and snapper. It was a true team effort, and the kids absolutely loved being involved every step of the way."
Wrapping Up the Day in Style
Peta joked about the kids' newfound love for cooking, saying, "Let’s hope this passion continues, but hey, a girl can pray, right? 🙏🏻" The evening ended with the family feasting on the meals they had prepared together, all while enjoying the stunning Bahamian scenery. "We celebrated with wine and cake under the stars. It was such a special day for my big boy," she gushed.
Big Changes for Little Shai
Peta’s Bahamas trip wasn’t the only exciting change for Shai this year. Just weeks before, he got his very first haircut. "He had these gorgeous golden curls, and we were all absolutely smitten with them," she shared on Instagram. "But we decided it was time for a change so he could feel more comfortable, and let’s be honest, it’s a bit easier on us parents too!"

She added, "Every time I watch the video of him getting his haircut, I get emotional. There’s something so powerful about a mother’s love for her child—it’s truly incomparable."
