Kate Flannery Inspires Women To Embrace New Adventures

Kate Flannery Is 'Very Proud' of How She's Inspired Women

In her fifties, Kate Flannery isn’t letting age slow her down. The vibrant actress is all about proving that age is just a number, and she's inspiring countless women along the way. Kate recently graced the latest season of Dancing with the Stars, where she showed everyone that life doesn’t stop after a certain age. She's more than just a performer—she's a beacon of hope for women everywhere who might be hesitant to step out of their comfort zones.

Kate's Journey Inspires Fans Nationwide

After her appearance on Dancing with the Stars, Kate spoke candidly about the profound impact she’s had on her fans. "It’s absolutely incredible how many women approach me wherever I go—it’s mind-blowing. They tell me, 'I cheered for you! Because of you, I’m ready to try something new,' or 'I’m going to dance, I’m going to move.' It’s truly amazing and inspiring," the beloved The Office alum exclusively shared with Closer Weekly. She added, "I’m incredibly proud to connect with women as we grow older because, let’s face it, we often become invisible in certain ways. But we don’t have to be."

Breaking the Cycle of Selflessness

Kate isn’t just about inspiring others; she’s also encouraging women to break free from the roles society often thrusts upon them. "I think sometimes we put ourselves on the back burner in our own lives. We focus so much on the people around us—the matriarch figure, you know. Suddenly, you’re the one taking care of everyone: aging parents, kids, grandkids, spouses. It’s a cycle we’ve all become accustomed to," she explains.

  • But Kate isn’t content with this narrative. She urges women to carve out time for themselves, emphasizing that they deserve it and that doing so can make everything else better. "It’s really worth it for women to take some time for themselves. When we take care of ourselves, we can do a better job caring for everyone else," she says passionately.

    Self-Care Isn’t Just a Trend, It’s Essential

For Kate, self-care isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a lifestyle. "When we’re physically stronger, we can physically do a better job, so it’s counterintuitive not to take care of ourselves while we’re caring for others. Just do it—no matter how little. Even once a week makes a difference, and you’d be surprised by the benefits that come with it," she advises. "Even 20 minutes a day can yield amazing results. You don’t need to conquer the world to join a gym—you really don’t."

On top of inspiring others, Kate also revealed that she lost a significant amount of weight during her time on the dance show. "I lost about 15 pounds—actually a little bit more, closer to 20! And the challenge now is that I feel like I have to keep it up because everyone’s watching," she told Closer exclusively. It’s a testament to her dedication and hard work.
