Just a day before Santino’s big day, on Wednesday, March 11, Mario made another exciting announcement. In an Instagram video, he revealed that the Lopez family had welcomed a new furry friend into the fold. “Lopez fambam here with a very important announcement: we decided we are going to expand the family, right guys? So please welcome the newest member of familia Lopez, Oscar De La Hoya Lopez,” he said with that signature charm of his, showing off the adorable pup.
Revisiting the Arrival of Santino
It wasn’t too long ago, back in July 2019, when Mario and his wife, Courtney Laine, celebrated the birth of Santino. Mario couldn’t contain his excitement and shared the happy news on Instagram. “It’s a BOY!!!! Healthy, beautiful baby boy … Santino Rafael Lopez!” he wrote. “Baby and mom are doing great. “I always told [Courtney] I’d like to keep going if it was up to me, but I’m not the one having them,” the Saved By the Bell star said with a laugh. “So, maybe she had a change of heart! Maybe she’s gonna surprise me with another Christmas present. We’ve got a 4-month-old at home, so I say if we’re gonna do it, let’s just keep it going.”
Mario added that while he’d love to have “as many” kids as they’re “blessed to be able to have,” he’s also completely content with the amazing family they’ve built so far. And honestly, who could blame him? With Santino, Gia, and Dominic, not to mention their adorable pets, the Lopez family already seems like the perfect blend of love and chaos.
