Is Steve Harvey Still the Host of ‘Family Feud’?
Before Steve Harvey became the face of Family Feud, his journey was anything but straightforward. Born in West Virginia, Steve began his career as a stand-up comedian in the '80s. Steve’s big break came when he landed the hosting gig for Showtime at the Apollo. From there, his career skyrocketed, leading to his own sitcom, The Steve Harvey Show. On top of that, he launched his production company, Steve Harvey Global, and continued touring the U.S. with his comedy act. In 2020, Steve celebrated a major milestone—his 10th year hosting Family Feud. When asked about his time on the show, the You Got Served star had nothing but positive things to say. Hosting both the original series and the celebrity version has been a dream come true for him.

As of now, Steve hasn’t announced any plans to step down from his role on Family Feud. However, he did make a significant career change back in 2011. That’s when he decided to retire from stand-up comedy after more than two decades. When asked about possibly returning to the comedy stage, Steve revealed his thoughts in January 2022 during ABC’s Television Critics Association press tour.
"If I ever do one more comedy special, it would have to be at the end of my television career," Steve explained. "It would mark the end of an era, and I’d probably call it something like, ‘Well, This Is It.’ But hey, you never know. I’d love to do one more special before I call it quits."
