Health is Top Priority
With the ongoing global health crisis, Meghan, who is expecting her first child with Ben Domenech, emphasized that maintaining her health has become more crucial than ever. She explained, "My doctor — I went to many — recommended against me going into the studio." This recommendation comes after Meghan faced a difficult miscarriage in the summer of 2019. She continued, "I think everyone knows this has not been a smooth road to motherhood. It’s taken physical, mental, and emotional strength to get here, and I think a lot of women just walk a straight line. But for me, it’s been anything but straightforward."
Finding the Bright Side
Despite the challenges, Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Senator John McCain, is trying to focus on the positives. She said, "I never knew if I was going to be a mom, so I’m excited and I keep trying to remind myself that people have had babies in much worse and much more intense conditions, and this is just how it’s going to be for a while." Meghan shared that she’s doing her best to embrace the journey, even if it’s not exactly what she imagined.
For now, though, Meghan is keeping most of the details of her pregnancy to herself. "There will be a time and a place to talk about it in greater length," she mentioned. "But for now, America just wants to talk about the coronavirus." Nevertheless, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone for all the kind words and wishes. Ben and I are just completely overwhelmed with all the kindness."
The Big Announcement
Meghan McCain first revealed her pregnancy on March 22 via Instagram with a heartfelt and emotional post. The former star of Raising McCain and wife of writer Ben Domenech shared her excitement with her followers. She wrote, "My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I’m pregnant. Although this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and our families are excited to share the news with you all."

Meghan also mentioned that her doctors advised her to limit her exposure to others for the safety of her and her unborn child. "Starting immediately, I’ll be joining the millions of Americans who are self-isolating as a precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result, I will be appearing on The View from home via satellite."
We’re sending our best wishes to Meghan and Ben as they navigate this exciting yet challenging chapter in their lives!
