Kenny Rogers' Love Story: The Journey To Finding His True Soulmate

Kenny Rogers Gushes Over Wanda Miller Marriage in Final Interview

Let me tell you about Kenny Rogers' incredible journey through love and life. Before he found his way to Wanda Miller, the woman he called his soulmate, Kenny had been down the aisle four times. His first marriage was with Janice Gordon from 1958 to 1960, followed by Jean Rogers from 1960 to 1963, then Margo Anderson from 1964 to 1976, and finally Marianne Gordon from 1977 to 1993. But none of these relationships held a candle to what he shared with Wanda. In his final interview with Closer Weekly, Kenny opened up about how special those years with Wanda were.

“The years I spent with Wanda were the most fulfilling and rewarding of my life,” Kenny shared. “That’s not meant to disrespect any of the amazing people I was married to before. It’s just that I wasn’t ready back then. I’ve lived a life full of success—making tons of money, having the biggest and best of everything—but now, I’ve come to realize that the little things truly matter. My boys, Wanda, they’re what it’s all about now. It’s no longer about me; it’s about them.”

During his 23-year marriage to Wanda, Kenny and his beloved partner welcomed twin boys, Justin and Jordan, both 14. Even though Kenny was already a proud father to three older children—Carole, 61, Christopher, 38, and Kenny Jr., 55—from his previous marriages, he gave everything he had to Justin and Jordan. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with them.

    Life with Marianne

Let’s rewind a bit and talk about Kenny’s time with Marianne, Christopher’s mom. Marianne had nothing but good things to say about Kenny. “With Kenny, what you saw is what you got,” she fondly recalled in an exclusive interview with Closer. “He was always easygoing and had a smile on his face every single day.” Marianne and Kenny got along great, and they remained friends until Kenny’s passing on March 20, 2020, due to natural causes. The only thing Marianne didn’t love about their marriage was that Kenny was often on the road. “A father on the road is never as good as a father who comes home every night,” she admitted.

    Kenny’s Legacy Lives On

Though Kenny is no longer with us, his legacy continues to inspire countless people through his music and the lives he touched. His children carry his spirit forward, and his fans keep his memory alive with every song they listen to. Kenny once said, “There’s no question, I will miss the crowds and the people who have always been so sweet to me. I’ll also miss the friendships I’ve made. But looking back, my life couldn’t have been scripted any better.”
