Wow, who would've thought that Hilaria Baldwin's dream life would include a love story with Alec Baldwin and raising four beautiful kids together? The yoga guru, known for her vibrant energy, dives deep into her nine-year journey with the legendary Saturday Night Live star. In an exclusive chat with Closer Weekly, she shares how their relationship has blossomed and transformed since the day they first met nine years ago.
“Nine years together already! It’s absolutely mind-blowing,” Hilaria, now 36, beams to Closer at Guild Hall’s 35th Academy of the Arts Achievement Awards dinner on March 3. “I can’t even wrap my head around it. So much has happened in these years, and when you think about it, nine years is a long time, especially in a relationship. It feels like we’ve been through so much together.”
From Meeting to Marriage: A Journey of Growth
Hilaria, the author of The Living Clearly Method, shares that her relationship with Alec has evolved in countless ways since they tied the knot in 2012. Together, they’ve built a family with daughter Carmen, 7, and sons Raphel, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 1. Their journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

“Our lives have transformed in so many ways. We’ve become parents, faced the highs and lows of marriage, and we’ve grown stronger through it all,” she shares. “In any long-term relationship, you either drift apart or you grow closer. For us, it’s been a beautiful evolution. We’re so different, but that’s what makes us work. When I first met Alec, I was just 27, and now I’m 36. I’ve grown so much as a person, and our relationship has grown alongside me.”
Finding Confidence and Strength
Beyond their beautiful union and four incredible children, Hilaria reveals that she’s also discovered a new sense of self-confidence during their marriage. The devoted mother, who recently opened up about their very first disagreement, explains how she feels more secure and empowered alongside Alec at red carpet events.
“You know how he always says he’s in a rush? He’s always been like that, but back in the day, he’d literally wander off, leaving me trailing behind him,” Hilaria recalls, referring to a throwback photo she shared to celebrate their 9th anniversary in February. “I was wearing this mermaid dress, waddling after him, and I was like, ‘Don’t you ever do that to me again!’ But we worked it out quickly. Relationships are about communication and compromise.”
