Lola Speaks Up About Mom’s Throwback Photos
It seems like Kelly Ripa’s teenage daughter Lola doesn’t exactly love the idea of her mom sharing old family photos on social media. The Live! With Kelly & Ryan star, who’s no stranger to sharing her life with fans, recently posted a series of photos featuring her 18-year-old daughter as a little girl, and Lola wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion. In an Instagram post, Kelly shared a heartwarming slideshow featuring her husband, Mark Consuelos, cradling their kids, including their eldest son Michael and a baby Lola. It’s moments like these that remind us how quickly time flies, but for Lola, it seems like it’s a little too much nostalgia.
Kelly, who’s always been open about her family life, captioned the photos, “#fbf June 2001. Going from one to two seemed like a big deal at the time, but @instasuelos has always been a multitasker.” The slideshow captured a sweet moment from their past, showing the family’s early days. But Lola had something else to say about it.

Lola’s Playful Warning to Mom
While Mark Consuelos, the handsome star of Riverdale, gushed about how he’d “give anything to go back there for just one day,” Lola wasn’t exactly feeling the same sentiment. She left a comment on her mom’s post that had fans laughing. “Can you please not post these baby photos, it’s not cute I look weird,” she hilariously wrote. The comment sparked a wave of reactions from fans who insisted that Lola looked adorable in the photos. But Lola wasn’t having any of it. She quickly followed up with a second comment, letting her mom know she was just teasing. “U know I’m really just joking ❤️,” she playfully added.
It’s Not the First Time Lola’s Spoken Up
This isn’t the first time Lola has made her feelings known about her mom’s social media habits. In March 2019, Kelly shared a video of Mark showing off his toned abs, and Lola wasn’t shy about her thoughts. She jokingly threatened to report the post, saying, “I’m reporting this.” It’s clear that Lola isn’t afraid to let her parents know when she thinks they’ve crossed a line, but it’s all done with love and humor.
Kelly, who also shares her youngest son Joaquin with Mark, once opened up about Lola’s stance on social media. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she joked about how strange it feels to have a child who doesn’t want their picture shared. “It’s so bizarre. I’m never allowed to post a photo of her — ever … Why did I have these kids if not to exploit them on social media?” she playfully remarked. But when Lola called her out, Kelly took it seriously. “She’s like, ‘You take it down right now! My friends follow you for some reason, and they will see this!’” Kelly recalled. “I was like, ‘You know what? I will take it down. I’ll take it down for you.’”

It’s clear that Lola’s relationship with her mom is full of love, humor, and a healthy dose of boundaries. For Kelly, it’s all part of the fun. “Why did I have these kids if not to exploit them on social media?” she joked. But when Lola called her out, Kelly knew she had to respect her daughter’s wishes. “She’s like, ‘You take it down right now! My friends follow you for some reason, and they will see this!’” Kelly remembered. “I was like, ‘You know what? I will take it down. I’ll take it down for you.’”
