On a lovely Saturday, February 15, Donny Osmond, now 62, couldn't contain his excitement and posted the delightful news on Instagram. In his post, he wrote, “Our youngest son, Josh, and his darling girlfriend, Summer, got engaged last night!” The proud father went on to express how thrilled the entire family is about Summer joining their clan. “We are beyond thrilled that Summer will be joining our family!” Donny added. “It was a picture-perfect Valentine’s Day, and an incredible kickoff to Josh’s birthday weekend.”
Continuing his heartfelt message, Donny, who's a former Dancing With the Stars contestant, wrote, “Happy birthday and congratulations, Josh! Mom and I are so happy for you.” He teased fans by hinting that more photos would come after the wedding, leaving the big announcement to Josh and Summer themselves. Donny shares five sons with his wife of many years, Debbie Osmond. Their children include Donald Jr., 40; Jeremy, 38; Brandon, 35; Christopher, 29; and the youngest, Josh, who’s 21. Each of these sons has brought immense joy to the family, and Josh’s engagement only adds to the family's happiness.

A Journey to Italy
It’s been quite the journey for Josh lately. Just a few months ago, in December 2019, he returned home after completing a two-year mission trip in Italy. Donny captured the moment with a touching caption: “A wonderful reunion in Rome!” he wrote. “After two years of valiantly serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Italy, our son Josh will return home with us for a reunion with the entire family. What a birthday! What a Christmas!”
When Josh first embarked on this life-changing mission, Donny and Debbie were understandably emotional. “It’s pretty emotional for Debbie and me because, as we’ve experienced with our other sons, we send our boy into the world, but that boy never returns. A man comes home,” Donny explained. “We know Josh will love the people of Rome, and they certainly will love him.”
