Life in Canada: A New Chapter for Archie
It's bittersweet! While baby Archie is thriving in his new life in Canada, he's miles away from his royal cousins. The 10-month-old has been leading a more normal life across the pond, but this distance means fewer playdates with Prince William and Kate Middleton's trio of kids. Imagine the little royal growing up without the constant companionship of his cousins—it's a reality Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had to embrace when they decided to move to North America.
Here's the scoop: "Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, have only met Archie a handful of times, with the last meeting being well over six months ago. They barely remember what their cousin looks like!" reveals an insider exclusively to Closer Weekly. "Even though Kate has shown them photos of their cousin and they ask about him, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving to North America, it’s unlikely they’ll ever get to know him properly." It’s a tough pill to swallow, but life takes us in different directions sometimes.

Returning to the U.K.: Plans in Motion
Prince Harry has big plans to reintroduce Archie to his royal roots. He told Queen Elizabeth, "I’ll bring my son back to the U.K. in May." But here's the catch—if the coronavirus situation escalates, Harry might have to rethink his plans. "The same goes for moving to L.A. for the summer," notes the insider. It's a delicate balancing act between family and global health concerns, but Harry is determined to give his son the best of both worlds.

Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry are planning a trip to Los Angeles so Archie can visit his grandma, Doria. "Doria hasn’t spent time with Archie since Christmas but will be seeing him very soon," shares another insider with Closer on Monday, March 9. "Doria’s a very independent woman with her own life in L.A., but she’s super excited about seeing her grandchild again!" It's heartwarming to see how families stay connected despite the miles.
Playdates Galore: Archie's Social Life
Don't feel too sorry for Archie! Despite the distance from his royal cousins, the little guy has a bustling social life. His last known playdate with Charlotte, George, and Louis was in July 2019 during The King Power Royal Charity Polo Day. But wait, there's more! Archie also enjoys playdates with George and Amal Clooney’s 2-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. Imagine the laughter echoing through the halls of Frogmore Cottage!

Back in August 2019, a source told Closer, "[The Clooney twins] have enjoyed a number of playdates with Archie at Frogmore, and they adore him." The insider added that Meghan's son "loves watching the twins’ every move, and the twins are equally fascinated with the baby." It's a heartwarming picture of friendship blossoming across generations!
