Let’s take a moment to appreciate Ryan Seacrest’s timeless charm! In celebration of a special episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, the beloved host shared a delightful throwback photo of himself at prom. The image, posted on Instagram on May 28, shows Ryan looking dapper in a classic tuxedo with shoulder pads—a nod to the fashion trends of the era. “Throwback to precedent times when shoulder pads in tuxedos were the new normal,” Ryan joked in the caption, reminding us all of how far fashion has come.

Seacrest and Ripa Honor the Class of 2020

At 45, Ryan Seacrest continues to captivate audiences with his charm and charisma. In the photo, he rocks a sleek bowtie and a sharp black suit, proving that style never truly leaves him. While his cohost, Kelly Ripa, didn’t share any prom photos of her own, she certainly made up for it by dressing up to honor the graduating class of 2020 during the May 29 episode of Live. As the show began, fans were treated to a lively dance number featuring the duo in their finest attire. It was a refreshing sight, especially after Ryan appeared a bit off two weeks prior.

What Happened at the American Idol Finale?

Viewers were left wondering about Ryan’s well-being when he hosted the American Idol finale on Sunday, May 17. It seemed like something was up, but don’t worry—Ryan’s rep quickly addressed the situation. Turns out, the On Air with Ryan Seacrest star was simply exhausted and in need of some downtime. That’s why he decided to skip the Monday, May 18, episode of Live. “Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night,” his rep assured People at the time. “Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.”

Between juggling Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest,’ and the Disney Family Singalong specials, Ryan has been working tirelessly. “He has been juggling three to four on-air jobs over the last few weeks,” his rep explained. “So today he took a well-deserved day off.”

    Back in Action

Ryan returned to work the very next day, ready to apologize for his absence. “I’m doing well, thank you. I want to thank Mark [Consuelos] for filling in yesterday,” Ryan said on the show. “He’s so good at it! Also, all the very kind well-wishes for my exhaustion, working around the clock.” Since then, Ryan has only missed one more episode of Live, and it didn’t seem like anything serious. The Emmy-winning host returned with his usual energy and hosted the show like a true pro. We’re just glad to have him back!
