Here’s a story that’s got the internet buzzing with laughter. Kristen Bell, the beloved star of Veronica Mars, shared an adorable yet brutally honest moment involving her 7-year-old daughter, Lincoln. The young girl decided to write her first-grade opinion essay on none other than her mom’s reactions to her. Talk about hitting close to home!
It seems like Lincoln isn’t exactly a fan of her mom’s feedback. Kristen, who’s no stranger to sharing her life on social media, posted a photo of her daughter’s essay outline. In the caption, the 39-year-old actress expressed how impressed she was with her daughter’s choice of topic. “Trying to get my first grader to write her first opinion essay, and was quite impressed with the topic she chose as she presented her grid with opinion and evidence,” Kristen wrote. Let’s just say Lincoln didn’t hold back when it came to expressing her thoughts.

Lincoln's Candid Take on Mom's Behavior
In the center of her blueprint, Lincoln listed out four specific points to back up her essay's theme. She noted her mom's "no patience," "doesn't believe in me," and "stern voice." The young writer even went the extra mile by underlining the word "bad" twice at the top of her outline, emphasizing her point with clarity. It’s safe to say Kristen got served by her own child!
Kristen couldn’t resist giving her daughter a playful nod in the caption, writing, “Touché, my young lass. Touché.” It’s clear that the mother-daughter duo has a strong bond, even if it comes with a touch of humor and a sprinkle of sass.
Fans React with Laughter and Support
The internet couldn’t help but laugh at the hilarity of the situation. Fans flooded Kristen’s post with funny and supportive comments. One fan joked, “LOL this seems so perfectly passive-aggressive, mom.” Another chimed in with, “Why are your daughters literal savages OMG 😭😂.” Some users couldn’t help but admire Lincoln's creativity, with one even quipping, “First grade teacher here — she gets an A!”
Quarantine Life with Kristen and Family
Besides homeschooling, Kristen has been doing everything possible to keep her two daughters, Lincoln and Delta, who’s 5, entertained during quarantine. She shared some of the fun activities they’ve been up to, like engaging in art projects around the house. “We’re doing just art projects around the house. We have neon glow paint and we’ve been painting the rocks outside so they glow … and just doing silly stuff,” she told ET. It’s all about reconnecting and enjoying quality time together.

When it comes to family bonding, the Bells have also been enjoying movie nights. “We’ve watched the whole Harry Potter series,” Kristen explained. “My daughters are very into Harry Potter.” Who wouldn’t want to dive into the magical world of Hogwarts with their kids?
Of course, not everything has been smooth sailing. Kristen joked about her relationship with husband Dax Shepard, 45, during quarantine. “We’ve gotten on each other’s last nerve these last couple days,” she admitted. But like any resilient couple, they’ve learned to laugh through the tough times. “We’re doing much better now because we were laughing about it. But when we were not laughing about it for the first couple of days, that’s the hard spot.”
