On a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Kelly, now 50, shared this delightful anecdote when introducing Josh, who is 47. “I’m going to tell you a story about Josh Duhamel,” she began with a twinkle in her eye. “This morning, when we were setting up and Josh was doing his soundcheck, I had to grab Michael and I said, ‘I want you to see somebody.’”

Kelly went on to explain how, during the time she and Josh worked together on All My Children, she was balancing her career with the early days of motherhood. Michael, now a grown man, was just a baby back then. “Josh was like a young kid, he was in his very early 20s when we had Michael,” she reminisced, speaking with her cohost Ryan Seacrest. “He was just starting out, and I was juggling everything. But Josh was there, keeping Michael entertained for hours between takes.”

Despite being in his early twenties, Josh had a natural ability to keep Michael occupied and happy. The Hope and Faith star, who has three children of her own with husband Mark Consuelos, shared a cute detail about her son’s nickname for Josh. “Michael used to call him the Iron Giant,” she revealed, referring to the beloved animated film from 1999. “Josh looked like a giant compared to his parents. Michael was like, ‘Who knew that adults could be this big?’”
A Heartwarming Reunion
After reminiscing about those sweet moments from the past, Kelly expressed how wonderful it was to see Josh and Michael reconnect after all these years. “There’s a handful of people who were born to be parents that I’ve known in my life… Josh being one of them,” she said with admiration. “He’s got a way with kids that’s just magical.”

Michael's Journey
We’re betting Michael couldn’t be more grateful for growing up surrounded by the world of entertainment with his famous mom and dad. In fact, the iconic talk show host once revealed that Michael is following in her footsteps by landing a gig on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “If I’m being honest, he’s been producing my end of this show,” Kelly admitted during an episode in early May. “He’s really working while finishing his studies at NYU. But I told him, ‘Look at you. You’ve got a job before graduation. That’s got to make you feel good.’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I guess.’”
