Brad Falchuk's Quality Time with His Kids Amidst the Chaos

At 49, Brad Falchuk is making the most of this unusual period by dedicating more time to his children. Brad shares custody of Brody and his daughter Isabella with his ex-wife, Suzanne Falchuk. During the ongoing pandemic, these kids have found a safe haven in the home they share with Brad, Gwyneth, and her own children, Apple, 15, and Moses, 14. “It’s pretty close quarters,” Gwyneth shared candidly in a Goop video titled “How Do You Find Intimacy in Uncertain Times?” which aired on March 29.

But let’s be real, living in such close proximity isn’t always a walk in the park. “Our kids have been feeling really cooped up because they can’t go outside and hang out with their friends,” Gwyneth explained. “There’s definitely some tension within the household, and we have the added dynamic of stepparenting. Trying to adjust to this new normal and level of closeness is quite stressful.”

Gwyneth Paltrow's Approach to Quarantine Living

While Gwyneth is navigating the tricky waters of maintaining everyone’s sanity, she’s also focusing on strengthening her bond with Brad. “As a couple, it’s like, where do you go when you’re all stuck in the house together? You’ve got dogs, work, and working from home,” she pondered aloud. “It’s like, ‘What are you supposed to do?’”

Despite the challenges, the couple seems to be handling things pretty well. They’ve embraced their “new normal” and understand that this phase, while tough, won’t last forever. “It’s not the time for denial. We must take this seriously and shelter in place,” Gwyneth reiterated via Instagram on March 22. “It’s time for nesting, reading, cleaning out closets, doing something you’ve always wanted to do—write a book, learn an instrument or a language, or learn to code online, draw or paint—going through photos, cooking, and reconnecting on a deeper level with the people you love.”
