Let’s talk about Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, the dynamic HGTV host who’s made a name for herself not just in the world of home design but also as a Survivor champion. If her name or face sounds familiar, it’s because she outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted her competitors in Season 24 of Survivor back in 2012. But that’s not all—just one year after her life-changing victory on CBS, Kim walked down the aisle with her now-husband, Bryan Wolfe. Fast forward to 2022, and the two are co-hosting the hit series Why the Heck Did I Buy This House?, bringing their unique chemistry and design expertise to your living room.
Love at First Volleyball Game
Kim and Bryan’s love story is as heartwarming as it gets. They tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 2013, surrounded by close friends and family. Interestingly, their connection began during an impromptu game of volleyball outside a bar, as reported by Heavy.com. Now, here’s the fun part—Kim’s Survivor castmates Alicia Rosa and Kat Edorsson were not only part of her journey on the island but also guests at her wedding. Talk about bringing your friends into your real life!

Building a Life Together
Kim and Bryan didn’t waste any time building their family. Shortly after their wedding, they welcomed their first child, son Michael Thomas, in 2014. Their family grew even bigger with the arrival of daughter August Jane in 2015, followed by their youngest son, Walt, in 2016. When the opportunity came for Kim to participate in the all-winners season of Survivor in 2019, Bryan was her rock as they discussed the decision together.

“I just couldn’t picture a way where I was going to leave my three kids at this age,” Kim shared with Entertainment Weekly in January 2020. “We talked it over, and I thought, ‘No, this isn’t happening.’ Bryan agreed, saying, ‘Yeah, it’s a no.’ But then, a week later, I started wondering if I should reconsider. Bryan knew me so well—he said, ‘You’re going to do it. The fact that you’re even questioning it means it’s something you need to explore.’”
From Survivor to Interior Design
Kim’s journey didn’t stop at Survivor. After her win, Bryan encouraged her to turn her passion for design into a full-time career. He famously joked, “How about you do this professionally and stop making our family move every time you want to try a new tile?” That lighthearted comment sparked the birth of Kim Wolfe Home, her successful interior design company.
Kim’s television career has taken off since then, but Why the Heck Did I Buy This House? marks Bryan’s first time stepping in front of the cameras. Despite being new to the spotlight, Bryan brings a wealth of home design knowledge and charm to the show, proving that he’s not just Kim’s partner in life but also in business.
